I am currently rewatching Pokémon from the beginning and so far I am at episode 49 according to this list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pokémon_episodes I am also watching the banned episodes as I rewatch it so that is why I put this as episode 49 instead of 47 which is the English episode number. This episode is called "So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd" and this is the episode where Misty and also Team Rocket run into a Pokémon thief. The thief uses his partner in crime, Farfetch'd, to lure the person and then cleverly steals their Pokémon.

The reason I made this new topic about this episode is because at the scene where Team Rocket is in the river and their Poké Balls are floating away Jessie says "Arbok and Lickitung are floating away." What I don't understand is where in the previous 48 episodes before this one did she ever catch a Lickitung? I have watched all 48 episodes before this one and that includes the banned episodes and there was never any mention of Jessie catching or having a Lickitung. This Lickitung really came out of nowhere and got me kind of confused. I guess it was just something they forgot to mention or show in the previous episodes. Does anyone know where this Lickitung may have come from?

I also thought that in the original Japanese episodes Jessie might have caught a Lickitung earlier and it was cut out in the english dub for unexplained reasons but the website I am watching the episodes on only had the Japanese episodes with subtitles for the first 7 and then I had to watch the rest dubbed so I don't know.

One more thing is that since Team Rocket got their Pokémon stolen, with the exception of Meowth, how did they get them back for the episodes after that? I know that the show never explains how they get them back and never will but it bothers me. If Team Rocket were to walk up to Officer Jenny and try to get back their stolen Pokémon then they would just get arrested or something. It just urks me when things aren't explained.

EDIT: After watching a couple more episodes I found out that Jessie catches Lickitung in episode 52 "Princess Vs. Princess". It doesn't make any sense at all that this episode would be shown later because episode 52 actually occurs before episode 49. It's like the people that were making the show were like "Oh yeah. We forgot to tell you about this but it did happen and we're showing it to you now even though it's kinda late." To me the episode "Princess Vs. Princess" should have been put before 49 "So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd" to make more sense when Jessie says her Lickitung was floating away.

I'm pretty sure the kid actually gave them back their Pokemon, it's just that all the Pokemon in the bag were Voltorbs.

The best part of this episode was when Ash had his Bulbasaur relentlessly beat the crap out of Farfetch'd while that kid was crying for mercy.

Once Ash brought out Pikachu, I thought, "Now that's not fair at all. An Electric-type against a Flying-type."

Good thing Misty saved the day.

Well the guy did steal all of Misty's pokemon, it's not like he had a reason to be nice.

In fact the kid should have gotten a thunderbolt from Pikachu for that crap and then thrown in jail.

I wish Ash could find another Farfetch'd and capture it. It was a fun episode.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

in my batch list the episode princess vs princess is ep50, from some reason the airing date for some episodes (even not banned) are messed up, like the holiday jinx and snow-wa episodes are 7X while they happened much sooner (39-40), there there's some reason, i'm not sure for that one.
