| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Episode which built up to a Maximilian and Selvaria confrontation. Though I realised they where assigned to go to the same desert, wasn't expecting a face to face so soon! Liked the Faldio/Welkin conversation, reminded me that they are actually academics, trying to (unsuccessfully) drag the others into the debate. But what did Faldio read that shocked him?!?! Oh and eriously wanted to punch that Damon guy, especially after what he said to Eleanor -_- |

| By far the best episode so far, that finally develops a bit the background and universe of the series as well as the characters. Oh and thank God there was no battle, so no chance for them to look pathetic ;) Next episode looks like fun too. |

| ^ I agree about the developments, particularly detail about historical background, which was needed. Character wise, the reveal behind Gregor and Yaeger somewhat antagonistic relationship was also very interesting Forgot to mention, but with his dark looks does Ramal possibly have Darcsen ancestory?... unless there's been so much racism these past 2000 years they haven't married outside their race.. or maybe not since he doesn't have dark blue hair.. | Is it me or did Isara's skirt get shorter? Must be my imagination... Anyway the way they treat racism in this show is even worse than in the game. Some kid starts talking bs about Darcsens in front of Isara, nobody gives a damn. Instead they start a conversation about history. -_- I wonder if the guys behind the project actually know what happened during the WWII. Oh well, this is Valkyria after all. I know it's light-hearted and all, but don't put in themes that aren't light-hearted then, or treat them a bit more seriously. I've played the game so I was prepared for the naiveness, but these things still bother me a bit. As for the episode itself, I'm disappointed they skipped the desert battle. I hope they'll still show Ridiculous Tank version 1. |

| people seemed to really enjoy last week but found this weeks ep to be boring? I'm quite the opposite i must say. I quite enjoyed this one, i think it's good to learn about the history in the world because i'm sure it will connect to the war aswell as Isara of course. The conflict at the end is going to make the start of the next ep quite interesting aswell. |

| This episode has a few nice developments that makes interesting episode. I don’t like Ramal at all because he is little annoying. I didn’t expect there’s confrontation of enemies at the end. Selvaria is so hot character. |

| I liked this episode. It is nice to have an anime flesh out some background for the story which makes the whole series seem more thoughout and more fleshed out. |

| It's about time some more information about the background story and related events was revealed. I've been wanting to hear more about that Darcsen Calamity they've been talking about, so far it was being presented as if viewers already knew (I haven't played the game, so I don't). All I know is that it's some sort of terrible event that led to persecution and racial discrimination of Darcsens in the present. |

| Wasn't expecting the myth to be important, it adds an extra dynamic to the story. I haven't played the game, but hearing that they skipped a battle makes me sad :( |

| We got to see Jaeger's sexual side. Seems like he's kind of a ladies' man, much to Gregor's disgust. A glance at Fouzen. Also a brief appearance of Zaka!! Can't wait to see him in action!! The Valkyrian temple lacked the spiral elements like the one in the game, including the 50 meters deep spiral stairs. Though in the game Faldio was having a hard time reading the inscription in the temple's inner chamber, he seemed to have no problem in the anime. It's nice to hear Karl giving the next episode preview. We don't get to hear him much in the anime. |
