Easily one of the funniest episodes so far and it even had a touching side to it. Now unfortunately we'll have to wait a months to see episode 5. :(

I pretty much agree with ender650. The episode was kind of short, but worth the wait. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Hmm maybe it's because already few months passed since last episode but this one was somewhat different. Well, definitely more comedic than usual.

Great ep
that old junkyard robot was a real comedian + the reactions of the two boys.
I laughed so much.

too bad that he "died" in the end, that was some kind of depressing.
I think I don't really get why it had died ; (

Maybe I'm just tired but I failed to see the humour and only found it sad. Very touching nonetheless, I even think this is the best episode so far (since the first one had an expected twist).

Oh man! That was too good, and went by way too quickly. I'm kind of disappointed now that I'll be waiting again to see the next episode. This one was so touching, I really wish it were longer than it was. But I guess what makes it great is the fact that it's short and sweet.

Can't wait until the next one, interesting how the rules hold even when life is threatened. But it makes me think that this has hapened before ...
What is the sister planning? Oh well, we'll have to wait until the next episode to come out to find out.
Would have given this a 5 if it was longer, and fitted in a good sub-story.

A lot of aspects I liked about this episode. It wasn't necessarily funny, but rather thought-provoking like .. every episode so far basically. I can't wait for the movie. HD is a must.

I lul'd at the robot drinking the coffee. Comedy aside, it basically showed the evolution of the normal robot to the modern androids they have now. Not to mention this Ethics Committee.

My reactions were alike. We got proof of soul and a crime against it. He lost everything - his name and his memories - justfor his former employers to avoid a fee.

I'm in despair!! The delay between every episode of this series leaves me in despair!!

Very thought-provoking episode. A good look at one of the main themes of the series, from another point of view.

It felt very short, now I'm very anxious about Act:05.

I've read that this anime is only made by a hand of people.

I was so pleasedly surprised at the end with the Akiko cameo.
Even if it was for just a moment.

I want an entire show based around Akiko.

Old avatar and sig retired for now.

Well worth the four- (or was it five-? Six-?) month wait.

It was very funny, and even had a touching side. Masaki really seems to be turning against Rikuo now. And I'm really hating this Ethics Committee. Ethics? What ethics? Ethics for whom?

I also loved the Sammi cameo at the end. Forget Akiko, Sammi needs a show of her own. xD

You don't have to have a paid subscription to view it on Crunchyroll. Just an account itself (free). It didn't even limit me to the LQ option. I was able to use HQ and H264 setting as well (what's the 480p setting for, I don't remember it?)

Fun episode, but sad at the same time. I guess what I really wanted was the flushing out of the characters already introduced. This was good too though; I'm looking forward to more Chi.

Really good, I've missed this! It went by much too quickly, can't wait for the next one. :\ It was funny, and the last bit was a little sad, so the mix of emotions was nice.

Bleh .. felt like another filler ep..

The creators should focus more on Rikuo and his 'dori-kei' behaviour towards "Sammy" (imo).

The episodes are only around 15 mins! And there are only 2 eps to go!

I demand more Sammy-Rikuo drama!

that was really great!

the music was very good. at times, the scene was very intense and the robot seemed really scary but then the music and mood would change so quickly! that was unexpected and quite funny!

it was pretty sad that he "died" in the end :/

Good episode, both very fun and sad at times. The preview made me long for the next episode alot - looks like Rikuo will play piano on Sammy's request. Can't wait.

Even though most people didn't like this episode as much as those previous, it was my favorite to date. I tend to prefer humorous things though, so that may be it. The old robot was just so charming and the facial expressions of the boys alone made me laugh. I also found it interesting that this ep. gave another short shot of Masaki's past. That aspect I find very interesting and I'd like to know more about why his family doesn't have an android and just what it is that his father does that gives him such influence.

I do like Sammy and would like to see more of her, but frankly, I don't think she's the most interesting part of this show. Nagi is more intriguing to me.

Can't wait for the next ep., but man oh man is it depressing that this is only 6 episodes. I got hooked on this in the first five minutes of the first episode, and that's extremely rare for me. Usually takes at least five episodes for me to determine if I like something.

Oh, and because someone asked earlier, if you want to watch the show, try galanime.com. They have links to episodes downloadable from megaupload. I very much hope that this anime gets licensed and released on DVD. I would love to buy it in that format once it's all out.

The way Nagi reacts when she realizes that Nameless is about to die was really heartwrenching.

How she reacts in the subsequent fight with Masaki, too. When he grabs her, and she looks at him, he gets a flash of something (some memory, presumably)... but what is not clear from the shadowy image that flashes across the screen. I wonder if that will be explained later in the series.

Great episode, although quite scary in ways. Nameless robot made a lot of noise.

I have a feeling that Masaki has a good reason why he's so apprehensive or whatever about robots. In one of the previous episodes he was shown crying or something like that in a flashback which related to something Rikuo said about robots, and now another short one. Could be interesting.

Oh God, this episode was so funny and sad at the same time.
The robot was a real phenomenon and he real made me laugh. But his struggle to looks like a human and to be aknwoledge made him really touching.
His death was really sad and now we know that the robot also don't want to be forgotten.

Now I'm intrigued by the comrade of the main character, he seems to hate the robots for a particular reason and it has something related to his father.

Why does this discussion have fifty posts yet no one has mentioned the huge Terminator reference? A parody of the theme from Terminator 2 is played at various points throughout the episode, most notably when the robot enters the cafe, and the robot itself looks like it was based off the Terminator. It was probably one of the best references I've seen in an anime.
