It is pretty interesting
What in the world was with them saying Baquaska? Was that the Statue? That would make sense sense he "squashed" it. But I thought he was terrible with english XD

it was ok, great to finally see the ppl from moon watching the street basketball.
Dam rly wonder how much money can be made from this, if the mayor did agree XD

hmm kinda weird since there is no set hoop b4 game started, so cant u just go for almost anything and use it as the hoop anytime in game ; would be kinda of cheap <_<L

Once Dan got over his little temper tantrum in the first half of the episode, it was scores more enjoyable. I'm glad they finally decided to showcase more of the Big Foots and basketball action, although, I still believe the action has so much more potential than what we've seen so far. Just getting a little irritated in waiting for it.

A bit surprised that Dan, Iceman and Sela worked together so efficiently right off the bat despite the fact they were at each other's necks an episode before.

this time a major match finally, though i thought at the end there he would have gone for a dunk instead.
the only way to stop a gamer from playing is either: beat them, or wait until they get bored (though 2% percent suffer seizures

That was a bad episode. Mostly because of Dan's one-note antics that took up most of the episode. But it was also because of the way they're going about animating the matches now (stylized naked players with short cuts to cgi mechs), and then also the end yes Basquaska.

I just don't know. I don't like that they're doing this "It's beginning." "He's the one." stuff. I feel like that's going to co-opt the story more than the game. They've already cut a lot of the color out of the cgi...and I know they can't possibly keep up the production values, so I guess we'll see.

its an interesting anime. it really gives me the feeling of TTGL where at the begining all are fogy. the animation is strange too so i ll keep checking it as it developes

Pretty interesting episode, but I rather have them focus on the street ball matches rather than the surroundings. Pretty funny to see "The Worst" captain worry about the the girl instead of the game and how Coco had the fail punch glove. Pretty cool how Dan still cares a lot for Coco, or maybe it's just a guilty conscience. Well at least this episode shows, but not really explains, the title "Basquash!"

Pretty decent episode. Dan's rants or antics are indeed dominate in this episode. So thats Basquash!(referring to the ending). Overall, this episode was a 3. Also someone posted this on another forum.

Crazy stuff posted by Thomas Romain on Catsuka:

The ball-in-cockpit control is an error. There's indeed a special dribbling controller but it's a sort of giant trackball. Episode 5 was outsourced to a not-so-good studio and they didn't understand the controller thing, drawing an actual basketball instead. When Satelight discovered the error it was already too late. Especially since 4 was outsourced too, and came back so crappy they had to redraw almost all of it, thus not having time to correct 5. The DVD and BR version will have the right controller.

Supposedly episodes 6 and especially 7 are gonna be stellar though.

Hmm, let's hope someone will decide to sub the dvd versions then. Thanks for the info though.

Still very good, now I am getting an Air Gear vibe from this show, it seem to be just going through a checklist of stuff I like(animation and movement of TTGL, vibe of Air Gear, Oban mysterious feel), soon it is going to have Blue Seed's music the way we are going.

THE WORST

Another great episode and I enjoyed it. We finally noticed the scene in Moon at the end. It was interesting to see them. Episode five has a nice pace, and I am interesting in that princess and Moon. Moar Sela!

I wasn't expecting this.

Anyway, I did notice the sudden drop of animation quality. One of the posters here already pinpointed it out.

Bakasuka -> Basquash... Was kinda stupid the development of the word, if you want to call it that.

Nevertheless good episode, Basquash is a little less ridiculous than what i first thought

At least they didn't resort to stupid fanservice in this one, though I'm not keeping my hopes up.

Overall, good but not great. I'm still not sure what to think of Basquash!. The only consistent thing about is it the top-notch animation. It's a shame they're wasting budget on a show riddled with cliches and 2-dimensional characters.

Hum... I was gonna give this up because nothing makes any sense and because of some stupid dialogues and excessive fanservice. ( And as I say again, i am a girl, so it's pretty disturbing )

BUT. I gotta say, the animation, execution and the whole idea of the town and stuff ( didn't you notice how stylish the city itself is ? personally, i love it ) is amazing, and because it's mecha i'm forgiving the shabby parts for the moment.

I think i'll suck it up for the time being and see if it's still worth it

EDIT. Hum.. It does have a small Air gear vibe to it

Well interesting to see where Basquash came from finally even if not necessarily the meaning. Also nice to see our main 3 b-ballers finally play against another team.

We got some explanation on what the title means, but I would prefer bakasuka as that sounds funnier. Got to say its quite the suprise how well Sela, Iceman and Dan work together there especially since they were literally facing it off not long ago.
