Nippon Animation announced an anime adaptation of a French picture book "Rita et Machin" written by Jean-Philippe Arrou-Vignod and illustrated by Olivier Tallec. It's a slice of life of a precocious girl Rita and a lazy dog Machin.

At first I read / thought Rita from Mitchiko e Hatchin got a spin-off lol. Not a Nippon Ani fan besides Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, but cool I guess

Dog somewhat reminds me of Snoopy, which is a good thing. Looking forward to this, looks like it will be real cute.

It's a child book, that's why you don't know it, even if you're french, but it has good sales in France and it's a phenomenon in Japan. Actually, the author is the second best seller for children/teenagers' books in France (the first being, of course, JK Rowlings).

He's my father best friend, so I'm especially looking forward to this, and I'm very glad they have finalised the deal !
