| Original Luxon pilot Marcus, we hardly knew ye. This time around, paying attention to the mechanics of the show; the coupling system allows Dio to share his piloting knowledge wirelessly with Aoba, but the system only allows people with high compatibility to do this. The sharing of knowledge, through Aoba's eyes, is seen as having Dio's POV and copying his movements. But when they decouple, Aoba stumbles. So the crew put a tracker on the young person they encountered, letting him roam the ship freely from the beginning, instead of imprisoning him as they usually do in the anime I've seen. So the Confederation are in the dark about the existence of time travel, but no one theorised maybe Aoba was cryogenically frozen hence he doesn't remember 70 years (similar to the protagonist of Blue Gender). Some trivia: Dio's Valiancer is named after massive particles that always travel slower than light (Bradyon) Aoba's Valiancer is named after massless particles that can only travel at the speed of light (Luxon). |
