| Im watching anime on smartphone so my parents dont know Im watching anime, but once my mom found my drawings with sweet cute girls, she came to main room where dad were watching tv and my bros were playing lol together and started speak loudly "Ohhhh, what do we have here? Who like to draw such things? It looks nice." I thought "fuck Im dead" I made fast move took mom to kitchen and with disgusted voice I explained mom that she shouldn't proclaim everyone secrets she found. | Well they don't much care on what I see. They see that I do watch animes but they don't care what I see. They may make fun of me watching but in generl they don't have prob. I have even seen Code Geass w/ my dad and he was like this is actually good.English aren't our main language so he missed most stuff from the subs but in overall he got the meaning and asked me when it's the next episode. No he wasn't making fun of me cause we sat and saw the next episode. I think it was after the ep where Suzaku was named Euphy's Knight. |

| My parents used to think it's cartoon for kids and I will eventually outgrow it, but as time went on...I only got more addicted and involved, so they started wondering about it. THEN...one day my mom saw a bit of Claymore (you know....the anime in which limbs fly every other second, which by the way isn't the best first-impression show if you ever want to introduce ur parents to anime), she was totally creeped out and finally got the idea that anime isn't really for kids (ha..haha,,). We had a lot of discussions about what anime is thereafter and finally, after years of brainwashing....I mean reenforcing, now they fully respect anime as a medium. Mission accomplished. |

| My mother doesn't really care about what I watch as long as I'm enjoying it but her interpretation of anime is high pitched female voices, lots of shouting and stupid facial expressions because she hates the anime/manga style. But I can still talk about anime with her without making any specific details and she'll listen (because she's the best :D). My father teases me whenever he hears anything japanese but that's really all. And my brother was a real anime hater, saying that he hated all anime. But I wouldn't care anyway and just showed him all sorts of parts from certain anime that I found funny ^^ . One day I found out that one channel from my country aired Death Note SUBBED (from my country!!)!!! And so I made my brother watch the first episode (That was conviniently airing at the moment) and he said he wanted to watch the whole thing. I converted him, Fudge yeah! (>:D) But my brother has like the biggest standards in the whole world or something (Won't even watch Code Geass!) so I can only show him those that I heard were really good. And he only watches one series at the time... |

I guess they don't mind that much, now at least, well it's been more then 5 years already, they had time to get used to it. They don't like that I have very few friends and don't go out often, but on the other hand they wouldn't like me to hang out too often, so it's ok the way it is now. |
