| Ishida just won the sis. Way to go! Now, will it be the mother? Yet, I find that very unlikely to happen anytime soon... alexpte said: Is it me or is Shouko's mom more forgiving? She probably is. Unless she's a "hard" villain, which I doubt, but seeing as she doesn't even know signing... Although, aside from what I said above, I can't really disagree with her resentment towards Ishida. |

| It irks me to think the mother of a deaf child wouldn't have bothered to learn sign language. That's just irresponsible. Not to mention that she doesn't care when her youngest runs away because it apparently happens all the time. As for not being able to give her those happy years, he knows that better than anyone, because he took those years away from himself, too. |

| Ooo Ishida being called out on his selfishness by Shouko's younger sister! The mother's words at the end were a test to see how he'd react, IMO. And he passed by acknowledging what he'd done instead of apologizing, because no amount of apologizing could've undone the past. A nice moment of self-awareness from Ishida. |
| Reading this really gave me in dept feeling of each character. It is amusing on how the character interact with each other. The sense of guilt and remorse that can fuel your desire to stay alive. I love this. This layers of feeling is sure make character in this manga more alive than some of us in reality. |

| I'm not sure if it's a retcon but the mother knew shoku was being bullied but let it happen because she thought this world make her daughter stronger that's why she put her in a normal school in the first place knowing the consequences. I'm not Sure why she acts like that like she didn't know her daughter was being bullied and stayed silent. She doesn't even bother to learn sign language to communicate with her daughter properly. 17 years and she didn't even bother to? Man I hope she developes self awareness. |
