There are still a plethora of problems and mysteries that could take take two or three dozens of volumes to solve. My best guess is that the manga at this point might be halfway through, but it's in no way nearing its end. so let's just relax and discuss the story so far and what future arcs may hold for the characters. That's why I said it feels rushed. Lots of manga end this way. I hope I'm wrong, though. |

Raven_Shinobi said: While I agree that Sinbad's saving the day in this chapter was a bit of Deus ex Machina, that wasn't the first time in a manga where all the major forces of the world gathered to fight a common enemy in the begining or the middle of the story. One Piece had something like that, and that battle only marked a new begining for the Straw Hat pirates. In Magi's case, this battle was a plot device to introduce the father character and reveal Gyokuen's true identity and what happened to Alma Toran. I'm not criticizing the series (although this bit might turn into a nitpick later, I don't know), Magi is my favorite running Manga at the moment (along with Kingdom (it's entertaining in a kinda stupid way) and the manwhas Magician and Tower of God). I'm just worried. The speed of everything has suddenly turned like 100x faster, and a lot of plot is being exposed at once+throwing out what is apparantly the ultimate big bad. It's worrisome. |

It's worrisome. al shermen were almost absent most of the time in this arc, even now there are only 2-3 al shermen members on the field , they got some very important and powerful ranked members to be revealed yet (which was also foreshadowed in previous chapters) ...defeating medium is not necessarily defeating al shermen . dark king or father seems to be the final antagonist whose aim is to stop the flow of destiny which is according to this chapter could or could not be the will of solomon ... then there is the kou, laem, sindria political issue, magician and goi relation issue, what ever yunan and mor found in dark continent yet remains to be seen.... these facts alone are aftermath of war of manostdt arc...so after defeating medium we can expect a turning point in magi universe which will ultimately push us to the arcs relating mystery of alma toran and this world, solomon's will, 72 djinn and dungeon , kouens search for king djinn vessel and what happened to the necroplois archaeology and the finally the great king selection arc ... remember al shermen agenda always directs to the father ... unless father is dealt with , new villains like creepy ithnan and marriko who works behind the scene will keep appearing ... so this arc is most likely a stepping stone arc like marineford arc of one piece no matter how rushed the events are occurring |

| As expected Sinbad appears. There wasn't much other solution really. They were all pretty much dead meat without him appearing. That tatoo on the face chick appeared. Great i was curious about her after seeing her in the Balbadd arc. She looked hot and badass at the same time so she was stuck on my mind. Barion-Zara said: Did someone say Kouen is more BA than Sinbad??? Pffft XD Haha! The same thoughts when threw my mind after that major shot he threw at that thing. Btw the way the bad guys talk about him and the way everyone felt his birth etc makes you really wonder how is Alibaba the guy to be the king uniting everything when Sinbad really seems so destined to do so. Sinbad really seems so special from birth. Like it king Solomon reborn or something so his whole existence being half fallen and not being the main guy for a king etc is quite the mystery. |
