| I lost a close friend's aunt on New Years who I knew very well. Two friends last year to gun violence. Three friends in 2009 Two to gun violence and one to cancer, and near the end of 2009 my uncle committed suicide. |

| I lost my Dad pretty much Christmas morning to cancer in 2008, at that time I almost envied my brother and sister because they were at a friends house when it did happen. Then about a year ago my grandfather passed from an infection that he didn't want to "waste" money on curing, mainly cus he felt bad for the way he treated my dad I suppose. Went to see him but he was asleep to the world and on my way home I got a call saying he had just passed. |

| Besides our family's dog i really haven't endured any significant loss. My mother's parent's have already died but one of them i never got to even meet and the other one died when i was young. My father's parent's are still alive but i'm not close to them and haven't really seen them in years so i don't mind them kicking the bucket. |

| Most recent human family member I lost was my grandmother back in 2012, who I was pretty close too, though she lived a long and very fulfilling life so I don't dwell on it too much. As for animal family members, I lost my cockatiel back in 2013 who 21 years old, it was pretty rough. |
| Back in HS my best friend killed herself. She an I knew each other since the age of 7, so her death really messed with me. The saddest part of her death was the feeling of failure as best friend. Why couldn't she have talked to me before she did it? I would've gave anything for her not to go through with it. Or did she not talk to me because I never really knew her? Shit like that messed with me for years. |
| My mother died when i was like 11.5 12 year old, cause was Breast cancer could be stopped easy in first stages but she was affraid of doctors like hell. I dont count second sircle of family members from her side most of them died too from dads side too he didnt even knew his father. My sisters are on sepparate sides with their kids married and stuff we are close though still, so i am living with my dad good thing he is awesome and liberal too. As for animals few cats were killed by strangers /neigbours , 1 older cat of ours died long time ago from some ilness cant explain. Our old dog died by natural death though was best ever street smart can be said for non pure bread dog lived like 12-13 years with us. Messed up man but it happens everyting is part of life. |
