I am considered VERY lucky compared to many (not all of course)others of my generation and/or younger. |

Not only is its assumption it presents flagrantly wrong, it displays horrible understanding of the basic economic principle and it's a question you'd get an answer for right away if you read about the anime industry even a bit. It's not a topic worthy of discussion. Someone probably said this already. Reason why much of anime looks "subpar" is result of the near non-existent market. Many shows hardly sell 2000 copies. You can't animate too much with such sales expectations if you wish to strike a profit. As such unless the franchise is relatively popular such as FF, you simply can't afford to do it as an average anime episode costs +200k USD to make. |
