Another great episode. I had so many good laughs. I love the way Sora acts. Just some of the things she does is just awesome. Too many moments to mention. I can't wait to see the next episode.

Nicely fits the spot Potemayo and Doujin Work took last season. The squinting joke was great and everything else was serenely charming.

Haha, Sora was so cute trying to draw the fireworks. And the fireworks themselves looked pretty cool. :D

Sora is so obviously an ersatz Osaka - yet still wonderfully amusing. Almost certain to be my favourite out of this season's crop of series. Had to pause while we laughed our asses off for fully two minutes at the can of Sprout =)

I had an extra laugh when the two random girls were talking about the three greatest festivals and one of them said she liked to say "puta," which just so happens to be a curse word in Spanish.

I'm in love with this episode, it was funny yet so easy for me to relate to. The final scene was awesome -- gorgeous without breaking the mood.

Is it just me or did they spend way too much time showing off Sora's yukata right after she put it on? There's no way Ao would stare at her for so long, no matter how nice she looked.

oh, these little earthquakes

I agree that this episode was the best so far (although I'm biased towards festival-centered episodes). I'm in love with Sora's yukata~ She looked so pretty! ^^

I like Sora a lot, but I love Aso even more! Whatever she does, (using her puppets, spinning around with her yakuta, trying to catch goldfish) brings a smile to my face. Great episode.

I just watched this today.

Even for a slice of life series, this show has been really mellow so far. In a good way though.

highly cute, truly entertaining. I love this series so far.

slice of life is my favorite genre for a good reason <3

I'm totally loving Hazuki as probably my favorite character, though. There's just something about her.

Haha, poor Ao has to take care of his older sister eh? :P Loved his reaction when her friends came over ... SPINNING WITH THE YUKATA! XD I've always wondered what that would be like ... (anyone else notice the tea disappeared when he backed out of the room? Lol)
Festival episodes are always so nice. Sora's yukata with goldfish on it was so cute! :3 Plus the fireworks were really nice too ... trying to jot them down would've been pretty difficult given how fast they fade out lol. Ao's friends omg ... "high schoolers aren't very smart are they" LOL XD
Seems like we get to see Juju and Kari (?) with Sora next episode ... a competition! That'll be interesting :O

I've never tried squinting while watching fireworks. I should try that one time. Juju and the president already have natural squinting eyes but they still tried to do it XD

Dang, was that "puta" pun intentionally relating to the spanish meaning? First time I think I've recognized a japanese-spanish pun.

Sora-centric episode, the narrative deepens his character and also relates him to the other characters of the cast, demonstrating how an individual can be himself in spite of the context, going in disagreement with quent Pirandello said with his philosophical thought. A nice episode, despite being very sympathetic in the narrative rhythm, thanks to the amusing moments scattered in the narration with both hands.

That last scene was slice-of-life in a nutshell. How do you draw fireworks, something that explodes and disappears? How do you capture a moment in time that's fleeting and easily lost, yet is so commonplace that you probably don't think much of it? It's beautiful to look at, yet it's inconsequential all the same.

Slice-of-life is great because it manages to capture those small moments in daily life that are overlooked or taken for granted. There's no real greater meaning to these moments, yet without them, it would feel like something were missing. Between the major moments in life, such as transitional periods or times of growth, don't necessarily happen in succession. In between those moments there are smaller events that are usually forgotten. As time goes on, those moments become more important as they become more sparce. Or, perhaps, they change due to people and places coming and going. They're irreplaceable memories, but again, they aren't particularly valuable or notable. They won't have much value to anyone but the individual, and unless documented in some way, those memories will eventually be forgotten, as if they never happened.

At least, with regards to slice-of-life anime, those moments will always be locked in time, capable of being revisited by rewatching episodes at one's leisure. When times are rough, it's nice to have that place to escape to, if just for a little while. Yeah, it's nice.

Awesome ep!

I thought Sora was too quirky at first but she's grown on me now. Multi-purpose onions = the greatest of onions!

And I also like the way "puta" sounds *wink wink*
