Friggin' awesome episode.
Love it when they do this "Don't forget yourself, Akiyuki!" stuff ^^
Also, it seems, that they're going to put all fighting from series in 25 and 26 episode. Good choice.

I kinda didn't like this episode. Midori's little back story kind of is the antithesis of how she was painted in the beginning. I thought there was more to Haru and Midori's relationship than the generic "It's my fault my parent died, and now I think everyone hates me." She seemed like such a more intelligent, and wise character who kind of took care of Haru in the beginning, and all along they were both just weak stereotypes? Makes me a little disappointed.

Also, Akiyuki's little final transformation ended up feeling like more a necessity than an actual growth and strength of character. Nakiyami yelling "Think" and him swallowing his dad's little potion or whatever just felt too easy and deus ex. He didn't even respond to anyone, and seemed more lost than he ever did before.

Maybe I expected too much?

The episode delivers as always but just not as much this time. Too bad midori's story was put aside so fast, introducing and puting away Midoris grand finale in one episodes just doesn't justify the rest of her story, I just thought it'd be more to it with all the time spent to reach the climax, and then abruptly put aside so fast, dissapointing.

The Hiruken emperor was the highlight tho, now I just can't wait to see him inmore action next episode, damn those cliffhangers ^^

The potion was punched into Midori to turn her back to normal.

I agree with your thoughts on Akiyuki seeming more lost in the end. He could have made a gesture or something but in staid it just seemed like he lost himself to the Xam.

I agree with you about Midori's story. This was wrapped up far too quickly considering the build up to these events that started many episodes before. Her story was also generic. ll things considered this entire series of events had little impact on the final outcome of the show and almost felt unnecessary.

Don't misunderstand me, I did still enjoy this episode. Like others I am most excited about seeing the Hiruken Emperor. The final battle should prove interesting.

Also are we certain Isshu is really dead? I could see her making a grand reappearance. The delivery crew should figure into the final two episodes and I feel that storyline will almost certainly involve Isshu.

I realy did not expect her salvation. I thought they'd have to distroy her, So I was abit taken back by seeing her cured in her sister's arms. too neat and clean.

The emperor is quite Gar, The battle between good(?) and evil(?) begins in ernest.

I don't want Isshu to return, don't get me wrong I liked her character alot! But to reintroduce her with only two episodes left seems far to unlikely for me, if they did it would probably only feel just as wrapped up as midori's story. I actually thought Isshu's and Raigo's last scenes were totally awesome even if it was to no avail. Sad endings rule <3

But I agree with you, there is a high possibility that the delivery screw will appear soon, they've been stuck far too long to end on that beach, and I see no reason for Nakiama to contact them if she didn't want them to come along?

sometimes this type of ending you can expect in this anime...the plot and char development as well as how the delivery crew deal with their daily life...the parting for raigo n isshu really touching...at least we see y she was into the poetry and also why raigo being gentle towards her...

The best part about this ep was the "boss fight" scene near the end, everything before that was lacklustre and kinda boring. Midori seemed to have a fair amount to do with this ep which i believe was honestly a filler. there could have been something alot more interesting to set up the fight between akiyuki and the emperor. but then again wat do i know

IMO her "attidute" was some kind of Hiruko influence that multiplied her thoughts etc. I'm pretty sure she felt something like that guilty before too, but was trying to hide it inside. Then, the mad scientist applied the Hiruko and all those despair, sad feelings etc came out. Or something like that... I guess :p

The preview at the end of the episode suggested the delivery crew and Nakiami would be on opposite sides. This could present an interesting development to the story.

This anime leaves so much unanswered. Like what is the Hiruken Emperor exactly? How did it come into being and why effect, if any, did Isshu's attempt to destroy it have on it?

Whatever, the upcoming fight is gonna be crazy good. I'm also looking to (hopefully) a little more info on Lady Sannova's background and her relationship to Nakiami.

Also, Nakiami minus hair clips is damn hot might I add. =P

What's not to get? There are a few unexplained things (like wtf Lady Sannova is doing, and the story behind the Hiruken Emperor), but I think most of the questions have been answered, now.

Anyway, I don't really like this show anymore. I just want it to be done now. It stopped being interesting and I wish Midori died. She's downright annoying and I wanted her to shut up when she was going on about her missing shoe.

God I wish they killed of Midori. Her character has been nothing buy annoying brat since introduction.

Its almost over and the ending is feeling a bit rush since there is still plenty I dont understand. After seeing Eureka seveN though I cant help buy compare and E7 is easily the better show.....

Anyways this ep was ok. Cant wait for the fighting. Id though there would be a hell of a lot more after what I saw in the first few episodes. Still I expect an epic fight.

Midori's kind of annoying she's no plain and boring. Blaming herself for her mom's dead, what a weak person. And instead of doing good deeds to repent she goes around killing more ppl(REAL SMART). I really hate those sort of characters. But Next 2 EPSare gonna ROX!!!!

I feel like this series never took off after a good start and with all the good ideas it had. A big letdown, but with some nice episodes from time to time. The characters and plot just aren't sufficiently developped and explained, and we can feel nothing watching this series. The direction is mostly average on top of that.

To come back to this episode, Midori was annoying as Hell, and despite being the ultimate weapon of the South, she served no purpose scenaristically speaking appart from artificially separating Akiyuki and Haru. The last minutes of the episode were full of promises though, but I have the intuition they won't be fulfilled.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

If I have to see yet another "alternate internal reality" that some emo character needs to snap out of with the help of a love interest or parental figure or spiritual guide... I'm going to have to kill someone.

Seriously, this was just beyond cliche.

Whoever came up with the idea of throwing in the Midori plotline to fill up a few episodes should be ashamed of themselves.

Midori's a shallow character , as always.

Akiyuki PMSes in 3 seconds, as always.

Somehow this was so very disappointing.
And I'm beggining to lose a little interest. If you compare the beggining and the end, I much prefer the begining which was more interesting. It's starting to drag on a little.

Would be resurrecting this thread but Midori is just plain stupid. Her wallowing in self-pity is just as worse as Mahiru Inami's manphobia and beating up men.

What a wonderful episode, just so wonderful both Nishimaru sisters getting back on good terms was just wonderful with the backstory! And what impressive development in the beginning, what immense power! What does that dark field have for purpose? The ending was bad ass with him flying and standing before that big dude.

Just a wonderful episode, lets see what's next!

Midori ended up surviving!

Nakiami has officially stepped aside for Haru. She also potentially sent Akiyuki to his death. I really wonder how old Nakiami really is? Maybe Akiyuki always saw Nakiami more as a big sis character.

This anime is pulling out all the stops animation wise. Midori's ring attack was pure throwback Eva goodness.
