Cosplay go both ways, i have seen lot of cosplays and never heard anyone complain about there being girl and boy cosplayers, but i do agree please guys dont go in as sailormoon or attempt to play a female character its always a disaster and it only funny for the first couple minute then its just gross.

Jeez. Most of the time it doesn't even matter. As long as the person put effort into it's design, they will wear it roudly and have fun. And that's the whole purpose, to have fun. I thought it was pointless until a friend of mine got a group of 4 to cosplay (one of my friends was stuck as Cat-girl hayate) and sure enough, we didn't look great but we had fun.

Both guys and girls can look cosplay as good really, from what I've seen. It's only the male bias that woman are the ones who dress up so they are better at it.

Both. I mean, some of the best cosplaying I've seen was done by guys....the two favorites were Barf from Spaceballs and one guy cosplayed as Jesus.

Female cosplayers, by far, but I'm also male and admit to finding FEMALES ATTRACTIVE HOLY CRAP! Rather, overall I think I've seen more impressive females but that's also because I've seen a whole lot MORE females cosplay.

I haven't seen too many cosplayers yet, but if it continues to be anything like this (top of page), girls win. Easily. =p

Either really.
I've noticed that while theres about an equal amount of 'good quality' cosplayers of either gender, there tend to be far more 'poor quality' female cosplayers (probably because theres more girls cosplaying in the first place).
The really good costumes and cosplayers are good regardless of what gender the person is though.

I'd love to cosplay myself but I lack the confidence. And the ability to make a costume ^^;
I'm pretty sure I'd end up as part of the 'poor' segment :P

I have seen some pretty cool and well detailed work portraying the character(s) they are cosplaying as either be girls or guys. So also going to say both of them are good equal.

That one quote by epicurus comes to mind whenever I think of cosplay: "know thyself, then dress accordingly"

seriously, I got no hate against the plus sized but to be honest, i cringe whenever I see them try to cosplay anime girls in skimpy outfits.

Yes. This is important. Not just weight, but all sorts of factors. You should really try to do chars that suit you, not just some you like for whatever reason. I've seen so, so much bad cosplay, and it's not simply down to people being too fat, or bad costumes, but just trying to be the wrong char.

Aww come on its all for fun, and seeing as most anime girls are rly rly rly good looking its hard to cosplay with your own looks in mind, or I think it would be.. as a guy it rly comes down to if I feel like a sword or a gun.

To me I say both because it really depends on the character and how well the person cosplays it.

Really depends on who is cosplaying you have good and bad ones regardless of sex.

I do prefer to see a good female cosplay though for obvious reasons :)

"Cosplaying is it for Girls or Guys??"

That's a seriously stupid question.
Cosplay is for anyone who loves anime&manga.

It really doesn't matter if its a dude or a girl, both are equally good at cosplay, as long as it works and doesn't look like planet of the apes....unless your doing a Michael Jackson impersonation....
