| So I've been curious, who do guys think values or finds a deep meaning Valentines day, males or females? I personally think females , even though I see guys complain about being lonely on Valentines day on MAL what you guys don't know is girls are the easiest to exploit on Valentines their lonely little hearts crave for companionship.....jk but I really feel females value Valentines day more especially when they see their friends in relationships actually taking part, they feel more inclined to start a relationship at least that's what I believe what do you guys think? |

| I am here to state unequivocally that being lonely sucks regardless of your gender. I wouldn't go thinking valentines is just for girls getting chocolate. I can't picture guys liking having no one to give chocolate, and I can't picture girls liking having no one to give them chocolate. The other day I made a nice two layer brownie with pink frosting. I managed to enjoy eating it as well as sharing it with the wife and son, and I took a slice to my friend Ruth at the local hobby store who sure liked being thought of and I took a slice to my mom, because you always want someone thinking of you on valentines day. |

| I think the people saying that Valentine's Day is for girls are being too simplistic. As someone stated as well, the fact that the boyfriend/husband/etc is likely to get sex on Valentine's Day, I bet they care a lot about that. Just because that isn't specifically a part of Valentine's Day, doesn't mean that you can't take that into consideration. |

| ^Lmao. I'll never forget that episode. Anyways, I think it brings down those not in a relationship no matter what gender they are. For those who are in relationships though, females definitely care more from what I've seen. Guys often manage to forget it despite the constant ads reminding them. If not that then they don't want to make a big of a deal about it while the girl wants to go out. |

| Both for different reasons. Women who are in relationships tend to care about Valentines Day more then when they are single (IMO). Men who are not in a relationship tend to care about Valentines Day more because they wish they had someone (or a date) on that day (IMO). I have noticed this both in person and online. |
