And I'd say Meruem (if anyone even hates him that is). Youpi as well, I mean in the span of a few battles he rapidly developed his intellect from that of a monster to a creature that can show mercy and even sympathize with other creatures. |

| Oh, I remember all the hate towards Slaine in the A.Z fandom. But there're many fans too, and many haters of Inaho conversely. I think that for me it would be Kakisu Tojiro from Xamd. He is a villain and mostly hated one - I haven't seen any posts, where people like him, but he is one of my favourite characters. He has a nice tragic story, he is atypical, and it's not often that we see military men who are also complex and alive outside of PTSD. I can kind of sympathize with his tragedy of having too strong will for his own good. Unfortunately, it's not exactly clear whether he ended up there or he was so twisted even before and just had the oportunity to act, but he is still interesting. |
| Sakura Haruno from Naruto Shippuden. I would get the hate for her if people stopped watching Naruto at the land of the waves arc. Feels more like a hive mind than people having actual problems with her. I would say Sasuke as well but he has a large amount of fans to balance the hate. |

| I really liked Kakuzu from Naruto, which while not outright hated is probably the least popular member of the Akatsuki. I thought he was badass. I liked Near in Death Note, Kirei in Fate, Shinn in GSD, Attia + Charles from Freezing, and Shirley from Geass. Pretty much all of those get a heck of a lot of hate. |

| Sakura from Naruto. Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail They say my girls are weak and useless. That's not quite it though. Sakura and Lucy are the most relatable characters in their respective animes. They are pretty strong and useful in their own way (which is also significant) However, Many people also hate them because-- Sakura being a sadist by being annoyingly violent towards her friends. Lucy more like a masochist, always being naked to the point of embarrassing herself in front of her friends. This is totally understandable why many people hate them. But I love them anyway. Rip off that unique personality in them and they will totally be boring. It's more fun this way. |
