I was surprised that there isn't any topic about this anime. I found it quite enjoyable - well, I was laughing every 2-4 minutes (maybe I needed this kind of brain-off entertainment).
At first I thought that there will be happy ending, especialy when Yuusuke regained his memories. But man, the fact that he procured his own almost-death really pissed me off. Especialy that Midori by helping him sacrifised her life in our time. It was too sad to be put in this kind of anime.
If there was no Ep13 "Erolutions", I would be very unhappy and depressed for a week, fortunately I was only for 2 days:) What is more, I almost cried during that scene - so unusual for me. I almost felt the pain in the heart thar Midori had to feel. Surprisingly, she was happy, that she will remain with Yuusuke for the rest of his life as a part of him. I would not be so happy, I would be sadder, depressed, blaming the fate, if I were her. This approach was surprising too, and made me feelings even stronger.
Well, it was nice katharsis for watchers (like me). But no more this kind of surprises, without a warning (in Clannad I am prepared for them).
Of course! It didn't disurve at all a tragic ending. It left me with a dissatisfied feeling to cause Midori doesn't get her love twice. Yusuke kind of pissed me of the last episodes. I thougth it had some of the sweetest scenes I saw back then and probably still do. Refering to the scene he regained his memory (ep 10) especially, kind a wished it ended there.
And erolutions, I did saw it but it didn't make it a lot better for me since he still wasn't with Midori who I wanted him to end with. No bad word about Futaba though of course.
There's a lot of anime endings I don't like. But the ending for this I quite liked. Also this poll is very biased. It doesn't even give a straight No. It's just no...
Honestly, I am not the type who wants all happy endings all the time, but this anime was very disappointing as to the end. It was fun and I loved getting to know the characters but Midori deserved her happiness, she fought too hard for it. This anime shows the idea that fate is set in stone and we all have a plan that can't be messed with, crappy idea. I am no idealist but the happy ending should have come, this anime made me feel a little empty because of it.
LoL!!!the ending didn't sucked..im sure you guys haven't watched the real episode 13 or the real ending of the series..the one that has a totally crap animation was just nothing..the real episode 13 that i wathched has a very good animation ..try to find it in megavideo..the ending was good and its almost hentai,,there's a very hot sex scene between,,1.yuusukeXmidori and 2. yuusukeXfutaba..its so hot !!!!definitely a MUST SEEN if your not satisfied in the episode 12.
I, personally, liked the ending, it was very...hmm...cant think of the right word..a tear jerker? sort of, and evoked a large level of emotion that I don't normally get from what was, for the most part, a standard Ecchi Harem. That being said though, comparatively to what I expected after having read some of the reviews, I was very pleased with this series, I thought it was pretty good.
I enjoyed everything about this anime, except his friends, I only liked them when they got their butts handed to them, and I LOVED the ending, with or without Erolutions.
Midori was annoying from the beginning and Futaba was a far better character to end up with. Midori's chest was the only thing she had going for her.
I didn't like the ending, but it is just because I don't care for sad endings and dislike the idea that people have no control over their fate and it being set in stone. I much prefer when people have the power to alter destiny against all odds in matters of love. Just a hopeless romantic I guess. :(
So, here's my take. I hated the ending. It didn't seem to fit with the levity of the series. And who's the A-hole directing Fate? Grants their wish by reincarnating them...1000 years apart? And what did the mystical "Life energy" have to do with time travel? Then there's the fact that Yusuke went from awesome guy to weedy little jerk in the last few episodes. Midori annoyed me at first, but then she fought so hard and got gyped in the end. I cried like a bitch at the ending. I love Futaba, and I'm glad that she gets together with Yusuke, but its bittersweet because, even though she annoyed me, I'm totally pissed at how badly Midori has been repaid for her efforts. Why the heck didn't Yusuke go into the future with Midori? That would have been a much better ending. Fate sucks! F You, Fate! I control my own destiny!
My only gripe with the ending was the way he acted towards Midori, I know he'd regained his memories rather quickly and was confused but wow, way to act like a complete cock towards the person you're supposed to love.
Even though they kissed goodbye towards the end, it's the moments before his accident that annoyed me. Rather than questioning fate and them being together he should have cherished it for as long as he could.
I voted no for the ending being shit because well, it wasn't. It's not what I wanted to see but that doesn't make it a bad ending. I'm not even a sap, I just liked the idea of them defying fate to be together. That was whole idea of the show right? If anything, I didn't feel anything for Y & M throughout the show but the ending changed that DESPITE it not being what I wanted.
People overall seem to think that episode 12 was the true ending of the show. It wasn't. Yes, if episode 12 was the ending it would have been horrible.
However the Erolutions OVA/Episode 13 brings the much needed closure the plot desired. THAT is the true ending, not episode 12.
So yes, I'd vote "yes" if the ending was episode 12. However, it wasn't. Episode 13 brought the romantic closure I personally desired. I vote "no," the true ending did not suck.
i don't care what anyone says, i thought this anime was wonderful! sure it had a few mistakes and the pace was a bit fast at time but i loved it completely. This anime is a masterpiece hidden in lust and comedy and the only ones who don't understand it, don't understand varieties.
I never made it past episode 4 of this show so reading that first post about the ending and WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? How the fuck does this piece of shit show go from sexual assault being played for a joke to characters dying and disappearing? How the fuck!?
