Bah, my friend had to spoil the fact that Yui was an AI before the episode even came out. Still was so awesome to see Yui float up in the air and release a long-as fire sword. Swinging it around with her small body. :D Also liked the design of the grim reaper type monster. I lol'd hard @ the toad scene. ASUNA DOESN'T WANT TO COOK TOADS ROFL! THEN HOW ABOUT LIKE 50 OF THEM?! xD Yui remembering her memories and telling Kirito and Asuna everything was really sad. She even disappeared in order to remove the grim reaper monster which was an 'illegal' act. Kirito was smart to turn Yui's main program into an object. Thus, became Yui's heart. Really enjoyed this episode. Also from 10:45 onwards, what does the Japanese text at the bottom say? "AW X SAO" - I wish it was a crossover of SAO and Accel World. PLEASE LOL. |

n10sity said: I don't see why there is any confusion. It seemed clear to me that the reaper's tag was a redish "unknown" as seen by Kirito. It even has a red crystal. Whereas, Yui's tag is definitely a purple "Immortal Object". Through Asuna's view you can see the reaper through what seems to be clearly Yui's tag. In other words, the Immortal Oject tag was above Yui and never seen above the reaper. And as stated in the previous episode, she has no crystal. So I agree with those who say the Reaper was just a very high level monster --- probably around 90 like Kirito states. I imagine Yui had to hack the system because she has no stats in order to kill monsters but she herself couldn't be killed. The monster was high level, I doubt anyone could have beat it at any point of the game since Kirito was level 75+ in this episode and even him and Asuna blocking the attack got them to less than half health. The LN said that the reason the boss was there was to keep players from wandering into the admin console room (that's why the boss was so high level compared to those level 60's mobs. (What I thought was kind of weird was how Thinker got in there because it looked like there was only 1 entrance, but w/e) Yui didn't hack the system, she just used her GM account to use the delete mob command. We know this because when Yui was being deleted Kirito said he could use her account to access the system (turning her into the game object) |

Keeping my time short in the SAO forum to avoid the inevitable spoiler of information that someone couldn't bare to wrap tags around. Slow episode but necessary. Next week's title is definitely "calm before the storm" worthy. Great anticipation. |

The arc after this one it stands for ALFheim Online, the current novel has 10 released volumes; the first two cover SAO, the next two cover ALO, the next two after that cover GGO, then 7 is a independent story focused on Asuna called Mothers Rosario, volume 8 is side stories and volume 9 and 10 are the latest arc Underworld. There are 25 episodes for this season of SAO. Given what all happens in ALO, I"d imagine that to take up the rest of the season. If they cram in GGO, I will be very annoyed with the producers of this series, for reals. I hope for a second season to cover GGO, mother's rosario and some of the ALO side stories. If it goes that far, I further hope for an entire season dedicated to Alicization, since that is going to be taking up a very large portion of the novel series I wasn't going to spoiler tag, but I ended up saying more than I was originally intending to, so meh xD I don't think they should mix Mothers Rosario with GGO, imo they should do another season for GGO; maybe 12-15 episodes, a movie for Mothers Rosario and then by that time if Underworld is finished another season for that as well. |

Haha, I had finished watching toward the Terra just before watching this episode. Lol! I cried my butt off while watching terra, and then this episode tries to make me cry: nope, didn't work! In all seriousness, this is probably the worst episode thus far. At least the prior filler stories had cute girls in them and explained a bit more about the SAO world (oh wait, this filler did that too). Well I was under the impression that they were doing all those fillers early to get them out of the way and they had finished. For the plot to have progressed to Asuna and Kirito getting married, and then doing another gay filler is a serious drag. |

damn! turns out yui was just a program this whole time. i felt that she really was an actual person, the way she was with kirito and asuna. dont know why, but i grew to love her enough within this span of 2 episodes she appeared in. i actually started crying when she was erased, such a sad way to go ;_; i hope she comes back though, her voice at the end and the preservation of her heart better be signs that she'll be back :/ but now, they need to get back to the MAIN storyline of trying to get the hell out of there |

Not sure if it's the source material's fault, or the fault of fail adaption.... Personally, I find Yui's time with Asuna and Kirito is too short and mundane. I think I would've felt a lot more for the 3 if they're given another episode or 2 for them to bond... Again... Maybe it's fail adaption, maybe it's the material's being like that? Needless to say, I care very little for their separation. (Red Nose Reindeer and warmth of the heart are, imo, much better when it comes to affect the viewers emotionally) Come on SAO, you can do better than this |

With Kiritio finally realizing who Kayaba is, and then the duel would either begin to start there or cliffhangar it into episode 14. Episode 14 would obviously be the duel, them being congratulated, etc. Kirito waking up, and walking to find Asuna with it blurring out, ending Volume 1 for the cliffhanger. |

Good episode but I feel like one more episode in this arc could have pulled out a lot more emotion. I see everyone talking about this ALO arc is there really not that much content in the light novels to extend the anime into another 10+ episodes or is it the just the animatiors trying to squeeze everything they can into their 25 episode limit? Seeing as how the anime is popular I was kind of thinking that there is enough content in the plot to cover 50 episodes but I probably am just wishful thinking. Hopefully they have a set plan and the overall pacing is fine kind of like how Gurren Laggan was one of the best paced animes for only 27 episodes. |

Terrile episode. They know this kid for two days and it's not even a real person, it's a program. How is anyone not retarded supposed to care even a little bit about this character. I love how Kirito is now somehow a big "hacker" and manages to pipe in a bunch of bullshit commands to save this program (looooooooooool). If that wasn't stupid enough, he could have done something meaningfull like get op weapons or end the game or some other shit. What a pile of crap. And don't people go defending this shit by saying gamers know how to do any sort of hacking, cos thats just plain retarded. 99% of these people would have no idea what Backtrack, sql injection, spoofing or anything else is. 1/5, hopefully the next arcs aren't this bad. |

This episode was just so bittersweet and touching. That scene with Yui disappearing was just aww =(. At least she will be able to reappear again later on. Dno how Kirito did what he did but lol that was some legit spamming buttons. Expected me to get much more emotional in a scene like this but it just didn't happen, eh I would've loved to see more of Yui before this happened. |

Could be said about humans as-well, you know. We are basically a bunch of atoms and molecules, particles. Would you deny that you care about people even if they are merely a bunch of particles? Why is it any different if a person consist, not of particles, but of data? Even further, if you entire world and everyone you spend time with is also represented by data? |

Oxy said: Ok did I miss something here? How are they going to reincarnate Yui in the real world with a virtual object? The fuck? lol So, a virtual object - coding. Coding = something readable by a computer (or a compiler capable of decoding the code) Which means that, given a computer capable of reading the code, Yui can be 'resurrected' elsewhere - and this is a large part of the Mother's Rosario arc, which covers both what Asuna is going through, and Kirito's efforts to bring Yui into his world. That really dumbs down the arc, but it is part of the series that gets covered at some point. |

vansonbee said: Anyone find it funny that Kirito was a master hacker and could understood "The Matrix" writing with such ease? Not really, keep in mind that we know very little about Kirito, of his life before SAO, except that he idolized Akihiko Kayaba. Nothing, really. He has a sister and... yeah. However, with that single tidbit of information, what does that tell you about his person? It is not far-fetched that thus to presume that he is interested in computers, programming, game development. Also, presumably, there is no reason the console should be difficult to navigate or use. It was basically root access; what he could simply do was to take the data that was Yui and paste it as superfluous data into an object, kind of like hiding a file within a picture. |

That really dumbs down the arc, but it is part of the series that gets covered at some point. Well at least there's a suitable explanation lol. Though I admit I was like WTF when Kirito said he was gonna resurrect her. Anyway, a good episode all around. The fact that Yui is not completely gone like some characters (eg. Sachi)I found to be a nice touch which makes this part of the story more uplifting. |

find touch keyboard on marble slab -----> press random keys as fast you as you -----> hack The Matrix by turning indistinguishable code into a loading bar ----> download an AI's heart -------> seems legit Am I the only one who thought it was creepy when Yui was going back and forth between emotionless computer program and little girl personalities? "I am a product of the Matr-MAMA! And then I saw people committing suici-PAPA!" In summary though, Kirito and Asuna are soft as hell. Fluffy white kittens on fluffy white pillows are harder than these kids. |

Tyrel said: Or next episode could start out with the fishing and then they get called in for 75th floor boss. They could rush the little fishing segment in very quickly. Was thinking of the same thing... jBui said: HauntingShock said: monkeii said: Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but its about the next episode. Will the next episode be the fishing one like in the novels or straight to LV75 boss with a cliffhanger of "Heathcliff is Akihiko Kayaba!!" thing? Really can't wait for ALO arc to star It's probably skipping fishing arc. Not sure if you can even call the fishing story an arc (I thought it was pretty short) Judging from the titles of the next 2 episodes..there isn't going to be any more honeymoon stuff, so no fishing :( oh lol I thought I wrote side-story. My bad :D |

Still wishing I had more depth. It may not be the most original plot but they could try a bit harder with this show. the characters are pretty decent so far. But these episodes are just getting slower and slower. |

A super heart-warming episode! won't be an over-statement if I said that it might be comparable with some of the best heart-warming episodes from other anime! oh Yui, we will remember you and we will meet again. T.T And.. where is Silica..? well Lizbeth got her second appearance! (would be a third considering episode 1) |

So has this show finally pick up on the plot or is it still the annoying harem-fest that it was when I left? Its not still doing "one episode for actual plot followed by another for impressing the girl of the week" is it? |
