Who's your favourite character?
| i finished the series, gotta say it was better than i thought it would be but ive had a look around the forum and ive noticed that alot of people dislike homura for some reason (i saw a hate thread dedicated to her) i actually like homura, she's by far my favourite character in this series and even though loads of people love madoka, she is my 3ird with sayaka being slightly ahead i was wondering if i was the minority, so i looked for a fan poll and realized there wasn't one (strangely enough) so vote for your favourite character and give your honest opinion :D im interested to see your answer :) |

| I actually have two favourites. In terms of personality and background story, my favourite character is Kyouko. It's easy to see that she's the most mature of the girls because she realizes that there is no such thing as true altruism. She is the only one who is aware that humans are ultimately motivated by self-interest, in contrast to Sayaka, who THINKS her wish is altruistic in nature, but, in reality, just wants Kyousuke's recognition and for him to be in her debt. Because of the tragedy that befalls her family, Kyouko decides to fight only for herself, and embraces her own selfishness and makes it a part of who she is. As for just pure badassery, the obvious answer is Homura. I have a thing for girls who fight with guns. Not only does Homura use military grade machine guns and a Desert Eagle, she also has mortars, anti-tank rocket launchers, and a freaking rocket artillery in her arsenal. |

I think he's one of the best written/conceptualized villains I've ever seen before, which is why he is above and beyond my favorite character. You can dislike a character from a story sense but still love them as a character, but many people seem to not really understand the difference. |
| Madoka. I love her so. Sayaka is a close second though (Homura used to be my second favourite and then I watched the movie). |

| Yeah, I see your point but I kind of get why she's so low. I think she is indeed a good, realistic character; and she's definitely the one I'd pick if I were to hang around with any of them irl because I really like her as a person, but it's precisely that "normalness" that troubles her so much what makes her character somewhat uninteresting in my eyes. I'd rank her besides Mami because of what you just correctly said, but I don't think she's anywhere near Homura/Sayaka level. That said, this is obviously just personal preference! |

I'm not a big fan of Homura but really like Sayaka. She's my 2nd fave of the main 5. |
