| I'm not sure if it was a series or a movie, but I recently remember watching something and its driving me crazy that I can't remember any terminology, lines spoken or even a single character name :( Basically, there are people who travel about in trucks - probably part of some governmental department - fighting monsters by use of the exoskeletal suits stored in said trucks. However, the scene I remember has two of them reluctantly working together until one of them becomes a monster like those he is supposed to hunt, and the other one has to fight him - possibly pushing the abilities of his suit too far, or he was already wounded before his colleague's transformation as he seems to be struggling. I think the protagonist lived with this strange girl who was part demon or something, and the suits were used to focus some kind of magical energy. |

No, its not that. It was more like a suit of armour than a mecha, and I'm pretty sure the girl wasn't being actively hunted - at least none of the other enforcement people went after her while the protagonist was fighting in his suit. At first I thought it was Tomoya from Clannad but the later scenes don't check out. So it's either badass editing or a very close look a like.
