| It's a decent movie. To be honest, I didn't really notice the length because the pacing is appropriate enough that you don't get bored with it. However, you won't get as much background info since all the narration from the novel is gone. The story itself is as simple as it sounds, and there is nothing more to it. I can see why some people may not enjoy it, but it depicts human interaction at its simplest and finest when all the drama you see in other works are taken away. |

| I usually don't like the voices from non-seiyuus doing the characters, but this movie was... enjoyable. I don't know how to express my comment well, but sometimes I do have a moment of "WT..." (storywise), but still a good story. By the way, I watched it because there are two Daisukes doing the voices of the characters, who are relatively related to both main characters). |

| Watch it when you feel like watching it. For me, this fits for sunday afternoon with nothing to watch anymore or nothing else to do. Somehow, I regretted watching this in between my rush hours thinking there's more than from the storyline and thinking there is something since this is from Madhouse. Oh well, I do no want to dampen your hope or mood for it...just saying what I have seen and felt. |
| Just thought I’d give my two cents. Whilst I don’t think it is a spectacular or particularly innovative movie, it’s enjoyable at best. It’s oozes that feel-good, old school atmosphere and the storyline is pretty straightforward, nothing complicated. However, it may feel like it’s dragging at some points. I consider you should try it out if you’re that curious, but it’s always up to you to watch it or not. My recommendation: watch it when you feel bored or have nothing good to do. It’s that kind of movie that works like a charm on times like those. Don’t rush it, just let it come. |
