| Probably Tales of Symphonia. No free roam means you cannot turtle as easy as other action RPGs and the bosses feel like they take a billion hits compared to what I am used to in games. Although, I got rather far via item spam (in Symphonia) - Tales of the Abyss may actually be harder, but I am at the beginning so I cannot say for certain (haven't been item spamming; just barely winning fights with only 3~ of each restoring item). Edit~ Tales of the Abyss is definitely not the hardest :3 |

I mean sure it's a good workout for the fingers. The fact that so many people complained about it is why 4 was so easy.-____- I actually wish DMC3 was harder then it was on normal. It was actually pretty easy on the hardest setting. It was one hit kills so all you needed to be was faster than the enemy. With that said, there really isn't a game I can think of that was "OMG I can't win" hard. Though I laughed when I played CoD4 on Veteran. One level before a guy could say "Jackson, get your.." and I'd be dead. :| Though Shin Akuma is a bastard in Capcom vs SNK2. |

| Eh I measure difficulty in games on Normal mode only because they usually create the game on that mode. =/ I tend to avoid hard modes until I am actually great with a game anyways so half the time I end up not using that mode at all. |

| I'm gonna say Alone in the Dark on the Wii, and MGS Portable Ops. Not so much because the games are hard, but the controls are just so awkward they render playing the games effectivly near impossible. |

| Rogue Galaxy, having a total of 600 hp with your average monster hitting at around 400, not very nice. even worse when they somehow chain 2 attacks meaning one character is dead already. Worse when you encounter a mimic by accident and it kills you and your 2 party members in 1 hit because your Action Gauge wasnt high enough to use any items to heal before it could attack you >< |

| Tales of the Abyss@@; First time I ever got stuck in a game; 3 god general fight! Opened with 3 Mystic Artes to take legretta down fast though, then got easy =/ So, it is the hardest game I've played only because I was temporarily stuck. |
| That's what I've told everyone ^ It is grind or don't grind. Grinding just takes more time; it isn't challenging. Being underleveled can create some challenge, but definitely doesn't need skill. (most RPGs anyways - people told me I won't just be able to walk into Tales of Vesperia and be able to 1052 hit combo bosses without knowing the tricks to comboing. I'll see in March if it is skill based or roll your fingers on your specials). To confirm something - I was still underleveled - I just entered the fight with everyone (but Tear's) over limit ready. So I just mystic arted 3 times ~ focus fire on Legretta and she died after a few more hits. Was too easy even with 4~ under apparently. |

Rogue Galaxy is impossible to grind, im about halfway into the game, have been levelling quite a decent amount ~lv 43 at cancer ruins which is around where i should be at that time and everything kills me in 2-3 hits. Its just potion/skill spam. Im motivated to playing this because i want to get past the last dungeon to get Kisala's swimsuit costume .. Also, confound/confuse is the worst status effect ever, it was bad in FF but in this it makes my characters kill eachother hitting for easy 900 against eachother and i dont even have 3/4 that hp T.T |

| Anything where the sound effects are crucial, like some of the Silent Hills where one could hear something coming. Dirge of Cerebus was hard for me also, the camera angles got on my nerves. I usually play turn based RPGs or something more with reading and puzzles. Lufia II Night of the Sinistrals was hard because some of the puzzles were so difficult and you couldnt go forward until you got them solved. |
