Shonen at my store are 7 dollars.
But the Shojo are like 9 dollars!
And the thick books (like Shugo Chara, Yotsuba & !) are 11-14 dollars.

I love Shojo it breaks my heart it costs 2 dollars more. I do buy shonen though! ;)
I havent bought this week. So around 20 dollars if I do go book shopping.

Well, I usually don't buy per week. I usually save up money ('cause they have a sell, like, buy three get fourth free) so... I'll spend 'bout $45 every coupla weeks or so. Maybe once a month unless it's a reeeally good series. Then I'll divert game and novel money towards that. XD

I don't buy manga regularly. O:
I buy a volume every once in a while since I know I don't have much time to read it at my local hobby store and it's pretty cheap. BUT I LOVE BUYING FROM CONS. IT'S SO CHEAP. xD

I once got xxxHolic #4 for $2 at a con! (CDN) I thought that was loving amazing.

Per week? Probably not that much. However I tend to buy in bulk (w/ lots of pre-orders), so I guess if your were to figure it all out maybe about $125...

O_o

Woah! I'd never done the actual math before and had no idea it was quite that much. Hmm...maybe I should start being a little more selective. ^_^;

I go almost every week to Borders. I usually end up spending $50-$90 a week on manga. I know about scanlations and such, but I like having the real thing even though translations can be horrifying.

Hmm, usually it's every two weeks up to a month that I buy a volume or two (14 pounds).

I like to be able to read + digest the manga that I have previously bought as well as the newer books which I buy.

What I spend on manga varies depending on if the newest volumes of the titles I regularly read are out, but on average, I usually spend around ten to twenty bucks a week.

Per WEEK? £0.
Per month, however, about four to five volumes. So, about £20-£25.

i usually spend anywhere between $50-$80 per month (since I usually only go to bookstore once a month), so that'll make me about $10-$20 per week? some months I spend less and some months more. it's when I can't go to a bookstore on my regular schedule then splurge the next time that it looks REALLY scary on my credit card bill ^^;

I don't, actually, because a) manga cost a king's ransom here, and b) you can't find them here! So I think I'll go with the majority on this one...

P.S. It's totally ironic LOL because the song that's playing right now is Green Day's 'Minority'....

Not counting Otakon (where I must've spent at least $200 on manga alone), I don't tend to buy as much manga anymore and almost never more than 1 per week.
And when I get manga offline, I tend to get at least 3, unless I'm throwing one on for free shipping that would cost the same as the shipping charges anyway (ha!). During school, I found that I can fit two series in my one computer desk drawer so I still have stuff to read and can exchange it on weekends back home.

I usually go the bookstore on a monthly basis. Unless the series I'm following all suddenly release a new volume in the same month, I'll buy at most 5. Depending on whether or not the shop is having a 5 for 4 sale, the cost is between $10 to $12 dollars a week.

Hmmm, I feel like I want to revise what I said on the other page
Now that there's a pretty awesome used bookstore near me that finally stocks a lot of manga because I think a company employee of somewhere is selling their preview copies (I don't see why any one person would need more than 1 copy of Bokurano 1, but I seriously have seen three copies of Bokurano 1 in that used bookstore, two of which were before the book even came out. I bought the first two copies, one for me, one for a friend, for $8 together). And that place is buy 3 get the 4th free, so that makes most of my weekly totals boost up to about $17 (after I use my coupon at Borders on a single book, initial price of book depending on how good the coupon is), but I also get 5 manga out of that. Sometimes I'll get 8 manga at the used place instead of 4 if the gettin's good so make that closer to $27 for 9 manga. I have few complaints :P
Also near my dorm, that used place is back home, there's a comic book shop that gets all sorts of random manga in at $5 a piece that I'll frequent once a week when I have time to kill between my last class an lab, sometimes I'll get stuff. And a different used book store near me had vol 1-18 used of GTO for $3 in mostly good condition, so one day I went in there and bought them all up too.

The moral of the story: used book stores and consignment shops are your manga buying best friend sometimes, they really stretch your manga dollar to the fullest (Eternal Sabbath 1-3 for $5 each, awesome or no?) as long as you're not picky about new vs used (understandable for DVDs moreso if you ask me). This week I spent $5 on shipping manga to trade so I count any shipping costs as spent towards manga. Trading with other people, ah, it'd be so much easier if we could send it in pokeballs or capsule corp. capsules.

Between $0-$10 a month. I get alot of my manga from used bookstores/goodwill so I get them for pretty cheap. If I trade something in at the bookstore I get them for even less and manga at goodwill is $.50. The only thing that makes me spend more is when I go to conventions, because there I can get manga I can't get anywhere else.

I go "per month", instead of "per week". Anyway, here the average volume cost is 4.50 €, so I usually spend around 15 € per week, more or less. It depends on how many manga come out in that specific period: there are months where I buy very few volumes, and others where I spend 50 € at once.

And besides, I prefer anime anyway.

Oi, trying to think about my answer to this topic made me realize I've been spending way more on manga this year than I probably should be.. an average of $64.728 per week. It wasn't so bad before, but in the last couple weeks I went and ordered all of Fruits Basket (to make sure I can get them all before prices inflate too much for it being OOP), then ordered a metric ton of Viz books when Rightstuf put them on sale, and then ordered the first 10 vols of GTO: The Early Years to catch up since Vertical will be releasing the following volumes next year... basically I went and spent all the money I'd been saving for a new TV on manga instead... Being relatively new to manga means having a lot of manga to catch up on!

Now that I've spent all my money in that manga binge I bet my more regular spending will between $0-20 based on the upcoming release schedule (but knowing me I'll probably find some way to spend more...)

I don't buy manga weekly, rather monthly. I guess it would be about $50-60 per week. In reality, sometimes I buy less and in other months I buy very much. It depends on how much unread volumes I have left at home or if new/old series have caught my interest.
