Oh that would be great !
I'm not exactly sure of what I'm gonna do to make it more active yet but having an existing community would certainly help

Hallo ! Quick question : is your club “Gekiga 劇画” definitely dead ?
It's the only club on mal dedicated to Gekiga and I was thinking about making another one to gather people interested in it, wouldn't want to create a double if you plan on making it more active in the future.

I noticed that you were seeking manga recommendations, now I don't mean to pry; but I figured I can at least be of some help in this instance. I tend to only read serializations with magnificent and or unique artistry; so take my word for it when I say that everything on this list is composed of excellent artistic work.

Manga Recommendations:

One brilliant story created by the famed mangaka Yumeka Sumomo, who's various works have comprised themes of elegance, beauty, and emotion. I don't believe words can summize just how magnificent and wonderful this artistic piece actually is. There was literally nothing wasted in the emotional impact delivered by the characters and their progressive development throughout the story.

Coelacanth will remain one of the most elegant and beautiful artistic shorts Ive read to date, it's collective story was truly magnificent. A mysterious drama that deals with the dementia of a human psyche in conjunction with one enigmatic romance that's just all the more intellectually stimulating. The artistic genuinety posed by this magnificent piece is simply astounding, the author Kayoko Shimotsuki really did create something wonderful.

I find Sute Neko no Ie most pleasing because though the premise deals with Vampires, it doesn't force some overbearing plot on it's readers, on the contrary; this title is more like a Vampire themed "Slice of Life", with Yaoi undertones traversed into said work. Sute Neko no Ie is a work created by the esteemed mangaka Inoue Nawo, who's various works have been deemed as magnificent in terms of it's overall literary direction, artistry, and respected material.

Natsu no Zenjitsu is a rather hard one to explain, it's really a calm Slice of lice that doesn't necessarily intend to stress some excessive plot on it's readers. However it does pose something beautiful that I think everyone can relate to and enjoy. The premise is one of my absolute favorites, the story deals with an artist and his muse; the muse being a beautiful women who slowly changes the artists life for the better. I want to just say that the artwork for this series is indeed elegant and wonderful.

While I was reading the series Freesia, I stumbled upon another one of Jiro Matsumoto works titled A Revolutionist In The Afternoon. It's relatively short and poses some excellent literary elements with an abundance of intellect and maturity. This title is comprised of five shorts that entail story archetypes themed in militaristic post modern societies and how certain inhabitants find themselves in some interesting situations.

My impression of this short volume was nothing short of amazement, this book genuinely felt like something you'd carry around before you assassinated someone important for some political and or random cause. Not since reading The Catcher in the Rye, have I felt this pleased after a sit down with some literature in hand; and that was quite a few years ago.

Ive come to adore this series for it's deranged, unsightly, and grotesque themes in correlation to it's astounding literary direction, plot progression, character development, and overall magnificent way of story telling. I tend to embellish all of Jiro Matsumoto's artistic works and I wholeheartedly believe he composed one excellent work of art in regards to his serialization, Freesia.

Truly astounding as too just how amazing Freesia is in it's presented material in that it depicts the depraved side of a rather harsh environment in conjunction to the mental breakdown of certain characters respected psyche's. Ive included some artwork from the series via the spoiler below.

Still writing...........

Thanks for the manga recommendation! It seems like no one looks at someone's manga list to give them a recommendation.
