Anderson fans will be especially pleased I believe. Totally worth all the wait. Also I have to add this OVA desperately needs HD out there with all the epic widescale stuff going on. Now waiting for HD and subtitles. Hell, so cool it is! |

| Animation is as good as it was in the previous episodes. I can share some screencaps if you want. Also, as I've mentioned before, we need a BD-rip to appreciate it in full. |

| Epicness, thy name is Hellsing! I was a bit worried whether the new studio would be able to handle Hellsing, but it seems they're doing fine. I think this is my favourite OVA so far; I absolutely loved all others as well, but this one was the point were all Hell broke loose and man, was it a magnificent sight to behold. |

| Finally! Though I'm a bit disappointed they didn't draw out the fight a bit more. Would have been awesome to see some fancy swordplay between Vlad and Anderson. |
| So, I guess I'm the only one who's not particulary pleased by the new animation. Personally, I thought the animation was almost... terrible, at least in comparison to the works on Hellsing Ultimate done thus far by Satellite and Madhouse. This had some really BAD looking CG and even wierder facial expressions on some of the characters. I felt some of the character models were off, too. I had volumes 7 and 8 next to me to translate along like skinst, and I also noticed the almost shot for shot adaptation of the panels (then again, that's nothing new for Ultimate), but still, I thought that for the most part, the manga did look better than the OVA, and I somewhat doubt that an HD rip of the episode will change that. |

| Hahahahaaha ... Ahhhhh ... Alucard always knows how to make a good entrance and bloody show. But too much of computer graphics at the undead army of the Count. The manga was better. But still it's one of my favorite parts in this episode. It is a pity that it wasn't the whole fight with Andy. I can't wait next ep and Girlycard^^. |

| I just watched it RAW. I loved it. I just didn't like where they cut it off at. That was a horrible place to end it. ONLY BECAUSE we never know when the next one will come out (I don't think). That was a painful cliffhanger. (Even though I've read the manga. lol) |
| I usually never watch raws but this was an exception. Wanna see the HD sub version just so I can judge it better, but damn at least I gotta say that seeing Alucard summoning his army and transforming into Vlad was EPIC. Sad part is the waiting for OVA 9 and 10. |

| I agree that the animation wasn't as good as the earlier ovas, or the manga. Though, it was still awesome, just wish that the fight between Anderson and Vlad was longer.. I hope it won't take 2 years to the next ova. |

| I do not think it is appropriate to compare VIII animation to previous OVAs while we've seen them in crystal-clear HD and the only rip currently available for VIII is a DVD-rip done with some old codecs breaking picture into messy squares every time lots of action is happening on the screen. I'll wait for a BD-rip to do my final judgement. I agree that the animation wasn't as good as the earlier ovas, or the manga. Like there was some animation in the original Hirano's work, lol. |

| This episode was full of ham. A hamfest, even. Not surprising, considering who is voicing Andersen :D Or Alucard, for that matter. And Maxwell flying off the handle like that. Or Integra going in S&D mode again... Or the Major... In fact, pretty much only three, maybe four characters didn't enter a ham fuelled monologue at some point and Ithose were Seras, the Captain and Schrödinger (Wt. Officer). And Walter (the Judas). AND I LOVED ABSOLUTELY EVERY SECOND OF IT. Seras's remarks about the 'stache was funny as hell. Maxwell got what was coming to him (good riddance), Alucard is always awesome and ANDERSEN. Just... Andersen. He can even HAM IT UP while biting down on his arm, probably ignoring the laws of reality, like Jack Rakan or something. The DVDrip had quite the shitty quality but nothing unbearable. Alucard's army seemed like animated photographs though, and the tentacles composed of bodies looked pretty silly. YASUSHI ISHII is back with a vengeance! Loved the ED. Awesomeawesomeawesome. Next episode: Alucard will kick ass, Heinkel will kick ass/get his ass kicked and Seras will kick ass. Oh, and Walter, too. In fact, whoever is alive at this point is most probably going to kick some serious ass. Except the Major, because his marksmanshop is utter crap. But then again, he's a Magnificent Bastard who set this whole thing up, so in a way he has kicked the most ass in this series ever... Now I'm going to stop rambling before starting to spoil too much and head on over to TVtropes and start rambling there and possibly updating the Hellsing page a bit. ... GOD DAMN IT WAS AWESOME! |

| Just watched a DVD Version with subs. Sick like hell. Cant wait for the last 2 OVAs and i hope they dont change the studio again. They did a good job. *Thumps up* |

| That was a feast! After a two-year hunger... Vlad and his army were absolutely stunning. I've got mixed feelings about puppy-like Seras, though. Anyway...can't wait for the next one. |

| Gahh, so much immaturity in this episode that it was sometimes hard to watch. Guess that's why so many clicked 'Hated It' for this episode and for this episode only, because I noticed that almost nobody clicked it for any of the other episodes. I really feel like they haven't learned from their past mistakes in the TV series by still having characters try their absolute hardest to act cool and important in every single scene they're in, but of course the OVA takes this to new heights. They truly have turned every single character into a complete joke in this OVA. I mean, is it really necessary to have an overly dramatic speech every other scene? I really hope they tone the drama down in the following episodes, because that was just painful to watch. |

| Man I missed this OVA. I missed Anderson yelling "AMEN!" like a mad man. I missed Alucard being badass and plenty more. :O Did Walter turned into a vampire now? And I wonder what's that thing Doc was making. And I laughed when Seras commented on Alucard's mustache. And the musket girl is back! Well kinda. I'm also sure that Alucard isn't dead yet. I hope. : ( I thought Anderson has regenerating powers. I've seen him do it in the first OVA. |

There are limits to Anderson's regeneration. |

| @_@ ep 8 is imba. best episode as compared to the other eps... qual wise is just soso though I cant believe that OVA 9 is going to be released next year ( 2012 ) and 10 probably by 2013 :\ Why does it take too much time :( .... back to waiting... Would be Really awesome if they decide to make a MOVIE out of the hellsing series :D |

| Well, OVA 8 was released this yr, 2011 when it was more or less supposed to be released Dec 2009 but yeah, there were issues right... xD and given the 5-9 months time for them to create, im expecting at LEAST ova9 around feb-april2012 n Ova10 by Dec-Feb2013 :\ hopefully, the world does not end in 2012 =)) hahaha |

| So many people are confused by this I see. OVA8 was done in 7 monthes approximately. Just like the previous ones. OVA7 was released in the very end of 2009, but the very end of 2010 was the time they've started to work on OVA8. So what those guys were doing for the first 11 monthes of 2010? The answer is simple. You have watched all OVAs in HD, haven't you? But initially OVAs from 1 to 5 were only available in SD on DVDs, OVA6 was the first one released on Blu-rays. So right after OVA7 release day the team has started remastering OVAs 1-5 into the hight definition format which was not easy and took a year to accomplish. When remastering was done, they've returned to the usual schedule, which is two OVAs per year approximately. |

| This is one of the greatest episodes of Ultimate and in all anime. Epic in all ways, I ended up watching it 3 times. Well sure I prefer the art and animation done by Madhouse, but still this new studio did deliver and I can gladly say it was worth the wait. The Bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wing to make me tame. |

Most favorite OVAs for you, and probably the most favorite anime i seen in my life. My favorite animes are To Love Ru and Koihime Musou - yet they're about love, romance and comedy - but, seems like i'm starting to better like shows with blood, guns and gore. And this show is just perfect to me. :3 The only thing i'm sad about, that there's fukken nothing left from London in this show. Also, i hope Alucard won't die like that we saw in the ending. | Woot just watched the ep and IT WAS AWESOME !!! I didn't have any prob with the animation even if the difference with the first OAVs was pretty felt, it used to be more lively/dynamic ? i don't really know how to describe it but maybe it's because i watched a LQ yea probably that. i wasn't disappointed, it was very faithful to the manga and god i was sooo excited waiting for Vlad to show up and when he did i was totally in fangirl mode xD , Victoria looked pretty badass, Walter what a sexy thing, Anderson rocks as always. Also i felt pretty bad for Maxwell even if he's an ass, i just loved the part where Anderson is sitting next to his dead body calling him a fool...I loved this episode !! Waiting for an HD version of it, i'm sure it'll be better. Ah and i liked the ending ! Looking forward watching the rest and i hope it won't take X years to come out x_x |
