| Only the fight was really one sided. Super 17 whoops art and then loses to kid Goku in regular form? I thought it was a bit cheap, not to mention that the fight was short to begin with. |

| Awesome episode, really job well done! Goku and 18 managed to kill 17 after a fight of epic proportions and after that they managed to find all the dragon balls again, but something is wrong... something different than Shen Long has appeared out of the dragon balls! Who or what could this be? |

| This was a really short saga. Anyway, the next saga is what Dragon Ball GT is all about. This episode is the final episode of the Super 17 saga. |

| And the prize for most pathetic looking villain in a Dragon Ball series goes tooooooo .......... Super 17!!!! For dominating the fight first and then getting two-shot by Kid Goku without SSJ and C18. |
| Wasn't Kuririn brought back to life by Earth's Shen Long once before already? How did they expect to do it again? Or was the count reset once Dende became the owner? |

| So after all that, Goku defeated Super 17 in his base form (With help from Android 18). All his strength lied in his strong defense, I guess. Just needed that open window. Seems a bit silly to me that the guys would use the dragon balls after seeing that something is obviously wrong with them. How about instead of taking a gamble and using them... you know... go to the creator? (Dende) I had a feeling that like a Evil Shenron (Not like the Black Star Dragon Balls though) would appear or similar, but that's obviously not shenron. Shrimpy Blue Dragon (Compared to Shenron), lol. Shenron is like a skyscraper, but this dragon (so far) is like... normal. lostcats said: This episode was BOMB. one of the best in GT (so far. Super Saiyan 4 blowing him self up with the Super android. 18 comes in last minute blasts 17 to shit. Kakarot Super Dragon Punch. the balls are MESSED UP! crazy evil dragon. YES! Don't think it was really all the grand, wasn't really fond of Super 17 to be honest. Recycled villains aren't always the best. The dragon balls have been messed up for awhile, if you paid attention in the couple of episodes, we saw the dragon balls just in random locations as they got a sudden crack. Don't remember the exact episodes, but they were brief and quick showcases, so... Also the move isn't exactly new, just to note... so wasn't really all the grand. Super Dragon Fist is a badass move nevertheless, but meh. |

| The android 18 part wasn't so bad, a nice bit of heart to this rather hollow battle. |
| Could have been much better. Goku should have been SSJ4 and used a Sprit Bomb or something. Hope the final arc is awesome. |

| So that’s how Super 17 is defeated, after Goku tried to sacrifice himself he actually survived along with Super 17 due to a shield he put up last second, but 18 ended up coming back after it appeared she died and bluffed up a storm to get Super 17 confused. This lead to Super 17 betraying yet another one of his creators, I guess no one can truly control him lol, and then it was 18 and Goku’s combined attack that ended up finding a weakness in Super 17 that finally done him in, I guess winning did lie in his ability to absorb attacks after all, just not the way I was expecting lol. And at first I found this kinda disappointing after the fight Super 17 put up and it was Goku in his base form that got the killing blow in, but after it was explained a bit more and I thought about it I do actually like this ending. Really it was the internal struggle within Super 17 that led to his defeat, plus he was already damaged from Goku’s sacrifice attempt, so the original 17 was still in there somewhere and went out not being in anyone’s control, I like that, also Goku using the dragon fist outside of a movie is very cool too. And they teased the upcoming and final arc of GT in this same episode, and it’s actually the only part of GT I never watched all the way through because years ago when me and my brother got to this point we just stopped, not because we didn’t like the show but we just never got back to it, I’m mending this error now lol, so I’ll finally get to see the Shadow Dragons stuff and GT in its entirety, looking forward to it! And since this post is already long I’ll keep my arc review brief, this arc slaps overall. Yes I’m kinda biased because I love Super 17 and really the best part was Goku versus Super 17, but I did really enjoy the fanservice of seeing old villains return, and the concept of these two evil doctors doing all this from hell is a cool concept. Now do I like this arc more than Baby? Yes, but not by a whole lot, Baby has the advantage of his arc being way longer and a lot more happening, but I don’t think the length means it’s better by default, and I did find Super 17’s fight with Goku better than Baby’s despite it being shorter too, so yeah I’d place it above Baby personally. And I think I’ll hold off on my rankings of every arc until the end, which we’re sadly not far off from lol. |
