I was wondering what people are using to watch there shows? I have been using Netflix but they don't even come close to having half the shows people are talking about sometimes.

"half"? More like 1% =)

Torrents. Beautiful, scrumptious torrents. Or of course if you don't care about shoddy quality and selection, you could always lazily stream anime through numerous anime websites (Google's your friend here).

I literally just google the show and the episode number and click on the first link I see from a site I know(streams). If it's a series I'm in love with I'll just download it and watch it on my VLC player for smexy full screen HD.

Netflix for anime is one of the worst ways to watch, go to BakaBT and download your anime in great quality. If you have slow internet streaming is a good alternative. gogoanime, Anime season, and Dub Happy are good places to start.

Torrents mostly. I also stream off netflix.

I must shamefully admit that I do use some streaming sites. I only do it because there are some shows I want to watch, but dont care enough about to download them.

Wait, why is it a shame to watch stream sites? And I thought that was the number one way but so far more people say they torrent o.o why download?

Oh boy this again. . . A fair amount of the streaming sites actually put out some decent quality episodes, I've even found some shows in HD as well!
Besides some people may not want to take the time to download it when they can just literally hit play on a site and begin watching, and may not want to waste the memory as well. Considering a full 24 minute HD episode can take anywhere between 300-500 mbs. As long as I get to watch the show and it is fairly decent quality I am happy. No eye-cancer here yet buddy.

I do love download/torrent as well of course(DAT HD sexiness), but streaming is just convenient at times.

I don't see how anyone can find streaming lazier or easier then torrenting, you literally type a title in, download then torrent then you have the whole series unlike streaming...

I like to use bakabt, nyaa(for currently airing) and sometimes demenoid. With cccp with and MadVR.

I prefer downloading, I only watch online when theres no other solution, OR when the Quality online actually is better. Yes, not kidding, I have experienced that before.

Streaming. It seems pointless to me to download when you can stream it for just as good quality. I'd only want to download it if I wanted to make fanvideos or something.

Stream, I hardly ever rewatch a show so there is no need to store it.

Plus, my harddrives are so full of video and pictures from work that I can't spare the space. I usually average a gig per project, and some up to 200 gigs in just a couple of days.
Is there another word for synonym?

I mostly stream because bandwiiiidth (otherwise I would definitely only download). However, if I really fall in love with an anime and think it has a high rewatch value (basically, if it's a favourite), then I'm going to download it in 720/1080p for when I'll want to rewatch it. I think there are only two anime that I downloaded for a first-time watch.

Yes there is.
There's a reason why I pay for Hulu Plus. I can watch new episode of Accel World on Hulu Plus before even the RAW got uploaded/torrented, let alone waiting for a proper fansub.
In regards to video and audio quality, I watch Accel World streaming from Hulu Plus, in HD on my TV. Quality is as good as any HD encodes. The argument about video quality is due to most people streaming from lousy sites that only offer a low-res encodes inside a Window. Oh, no need for a computer/Adobe Flash too as my TV has Hulu Plus app.

Also, DDL/Torrent/fansub version uses recorded broadcast version, meaning if the broadcaster in Japan has announcements or "promotions" text running on the top or bottom, they are there for good. The official stream I watch on Hulu Plus is clean of that.

There are obvious advantages of both, which is why I do both (stream then download).

I will usually download and then just delete it afterwards if I don't think I'll ever re-watch it or share it with someone else I know. The only time I really stream is if it's something that isn't available to download yet. I also tend to find alot of dual-audio versions of anime for download that I can't find dubbed to stream.

I stream pretty much everything because I want to watch them there and then. I'm too impatient to download and I'm not really fussed about the difference in quality.
However I'll download stuff to watch when I go on journeys etc.
