I love it when adaptations of Les Mis pretend that Marius actually gave a rat's ass about the revolution or the barricade or anyone there, except maybe Courfeyrac (how many times does he actually think about them after he wakes up from his fever? Like, once? Maybe twice?).

Seriously, Marius was a Bonapartist. He went to the barricade as a glorified suicide attempt--nothing more. Please stop trying to rewrite the book. Thank you.

And what is this shit with Gavroche and his brothers going off to live happy lives with Cosette and family? And Marius is going to be a lawyer for poor people? I feel like whoever was adapting the book completely missed the entire message >_< The world Hugo describes is still a miserable one. The revolution FAILED. Even Valjean could only change it so much! It is up to US to ALL act as Valjeans and thereby change the world, because those who have come before did NOT FINISH THE TASK. The message is not "Oh, don't worry, it's okay and everyone lives happily ever after. There's no need for you to take responsibility for worrying about poor people, or prostitutes, or orphans. They're already looked after :D!!!11!"

I was almost rooting when Marius proposed. I liked it how simplye and emotional that moment was, really touching.

Also good to see that Javert is changing his ways.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron
