| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- My head asploded when Joker is a bad guy. I wonder if he has anything with Yomiko's disappearance. Other than that, the school parts were quite fun with Anita. Her rival getting pwned and Michelle being ogled by the teacher were the best parts. |

Finally, Anita goes to school. She looks cute in that uniform. Tbh, this is how I felt when I first went to school as well: Too bad, she gets into a fight already (verbal) with some kid Tohru in class. Well, she's getting a long well and doing quite well at school. Those scenes at the book club was pretty cool tbh. |

| Doing silly comedy with the school kids and then suddenly transitioning to gunfire and bloodshed was appropriately shocking, and the understated action that followed was great; proves that this series can do a good action scene without the lavish animation and staging seen in episode 1 that's surely too expensive to keep up. I especially liked the attention paid to Anita's balance and momentum in this sequence. It took her movements quite seriously instead of using inertia-free anime-style zipping around. |

| As amusing as it was to see Anita spike that volleyball into that girl's face, I'm not sure what we're doing with this random middle school episode. What happened to all the nonstop action of Read or Die? Looks like I assumed a little soon as Anita ended up in a duel in the library for the first book. Seems like the secret spy stuff is going to start sooner than later. |
