I will never get sick of Mouri's reaction to becoming drowsy.

Yet another awesome two-parter.

I didn't see that coming. It was almost impossible to determine who was the murderer.

Almost unsolvable for the viewer, but we gotta throw a bone to the people who are actually *good* at solving these once in a while, right? Aside from that, what a horrible way to die! Can you imagine being in that bathtub for hours while it slowly fills up, completely unable to move or scream for help? It's like drowning in slow motion!

Good to see that no one else got this one, because I was 100% in the dark.

It was really good, but yeah. You can't figure it out yourself at all. I had the motive down though.

I still don't know in what kind f
relationship were the old lady's
granddaughter and the murderer,
thus I don't see the motive as a
good one. Would never figure
out who it was...

Can't really blame anyone for suspecting her since they tried to make it seem like she was the culprit during the sugar scene in the previous episode. That is until Ran was attacked, then that cleared the lady of all suspicions.

That was absolutely unpredictable.
Loved this case, next episode is a filler.

Funnily enough... In pretty much entirely every complex trick episode I'm never able to deduce the murderer and the trick used.. but I was able to do so here (with the exception of figuring out how the power went out).

I rarely type long posts but since some people here think that this episode was impossible to deduce for the viewer, allow me to counterpoint.

I immediately figured out the murderer the moment the young lady's murder location appeared, because I remembered the exact person in Part 1 who checked the tub at the time and claimed she wasn't found there, and connected the dots with the tape and rope marks around her, how her entire dress is wet, and realized it was a time based trick where he slowly drowned her wholly in the tub long before her body was found, way before Conan spelled out to the viewers about the type of trick :P

All of these clues were given to the viewer (as it's the case with all of DC's murder episodes), though to really pinpoint who was the exact murderer you had to have remembered the searching scene of the same room from Part 1. That's what threw most people off.

I figured what Conan was going for when he asked them to take their coats off, that short moment was also a nice hint of who did it, and it only reaffirmed my belief that he was the murderer (I actually thought he'd admit it before he took it off, but it seems that the guy was too deluded about his "perfect" alibi to realize that he was walking into a trap).

Though I have to admit, they really did make the old lady seem like a suspect through making viewers think she's the one who put the drug in the coffee cup and that scene where Ran reminds her of her dead granddaughter, but her physique didn't make that much sense for her to be able to drown anyone, let alone carry Ran. Had to be one of the men.

Also, this moment was really hilarious!

Conan has a lot of guts to use the voice changing bowtie while Mouri is awake.

Bitch deserved to die, wish I was the one who drowned her.

Behold of my awesomeness~

If they really both made that other girl drown on purpose this is kind of "an eye of an eye" situation... but anyway that case was really difficult, so many unexpected tricks from the killer especially with the electricity and how he made them die for hours in the bathtub to get the alibi, nice case!
