So he starts with the food? Cause we all know we love that more than everything else in the whole world.

I thought it was an example of a well done filler episode. It may not have advanced the storyline, but the girls did have the fear of some real loss init.

The show did a good job at setting up Soular as a more intimidating villain than the others, given how extensive and genuinely horrific his plan was. The fight animation was surprisingly good too given the show's rep. There was some nice sakuga.

The heartwarming scenes at the end made for a good cap.

Best episode thus far.

During most of the episode I was actually thinking "Why bother with crap like toys and food when you could just straight up erase the kids' parents?"... until Soular actually went there and did it lol. This was definitely the best episode thus far: the fight against the Nakewameke was on point and the idea of erasing everything children hold dear was horrifying for all the right reasons. Love's drama with her mom felt a little light but then again, so are some of the quarrels or fights we may have with our parents, and as SSS said, the end was genuinely heartwarming.

Why didn't he just make the pretty cure trio disappear first?

Soular erasing hamburgers already made him one of the most twisted villains ever, everything after was just extra evilness to the list, consider me impressed.

Big feels this episode, seeing Love break after her mother disappeared hurt to see, especially after what she said to her the day before, Love knows how much she really loves her mother and how she started helping her due to how busy she was, seeing everything go back to normal and the families just having a good time eating made me so happy.

Also, props to everyone for not getting mad at Tarte, they believed that he didn't eat the hamburgers... he tried to eat a bit tho, and I can 100% understand that.

This was one of the better fillers in the entire series, Soular’s plan was aptly and appropriately horrific for a villain and you really felt it due to the way scenes were framed and directed. Out of the seasons I have watched so far, only Ichika and Love have openly fought/sassed their parents, which both adds something to them and is believable for characters their age. It was a silly argument, but how many seemingly little things escalate into fights between family? Fresh does a good job at showing realistic situations in a way approachable and understandable for both kids and older viewers.

Since the villains' goal this time isn't to search for a magical doohickey, but instead just cause general misery, they technically never really need to ever fight the Precures. They just need to spread chaos in secret.

That being said, despite the show being formulaic, this episode was surprisingly dark. Erasing the concept of mothers is pretty intense. I can't even begin to imagine the repercussions of having mothers suddenly disappear like that. Maybe I'm underestimating Fresh in terms of trying new things as the show goes on? I understand the message of valuing your parents and taking personal responsibility for your words and actions, but I think it would have worked better if Love was actually responsible for the dinner mishap, thereby having an actual lesson to learn. Though, the main lesson seemed to revolve around the ensuing argument, and the harshness of Love watching her mother disappear in front of her certainly works as far as making the conflict extremely personal. I'm just not sure how to feel about magically solving the whole conflict as it did, given how dramatic and traumatizing Labyrinth's attack was.
