| How did you come to find interest in the touhou games? And what was your first game? I'm going to be honest with mine. I discovered touhou by finding it on a new computer that my friend sold to me. And then i decided to play it..It was Imperishable Night. And i was really interested in it. So i looked it up. And become interested. A few years later. Here i am..A big fanboy of the touhou series haha. What about you though? |

| As a collector of pretty pictures, I noticed there was a lot of stuff about something called "Touhou". What is it? Oh, a shooting game. OK. Hmm, there really seems to be a lot of pictures related to "Touhou". Maybe it's worth another look. Hey, that screencap looks interesting. Wow, lots of in-jokes. Music? ...Sounds pretty good. Maybe I could try playing it, but it sounds very difficult. Which game is easier? Imperishable Night? OK, here we go~ [dies on easy mode stage 3] OK, that failed pretty badly. [plays again][and again] And that's what happened. |

| I remember back in October of 2010, Superskarmory did a video on YouTube in his HeartGold walkthrough, and he was fighting Whitney, and he had to speed the video up at one point. While he did this, he played a remix of Lunar Clock ~ Luna Dial. I thought it was an awesome tune, so I looked up the original, listened to it like mad, and eventually found the game it came from and played it. Now I have many of the core games in the franchise. I even have Ten Desires. xD |

| not sure when but i have like more than 1 year since i know about Touhou,touhght im Touhou fan since 8 months i believe, but back then one of friends was listening to some Touhou music[he told it was Touhou when i asked], but i didnt really checked about it, a few weeks later i was in some game dowloading site, and i saw PCB there, and decided to check it, i got my ass kicked :/, so i decided to delete the game, some months later at school i saw a another friend playing one of the fighting games[ i didnt knew about the fighting games and when i asked he told me it was Touhou again], he shared more of the games and this time he actually had some Touhou tribute like Koumakju Dentsetsu and Megamari, i actually started playing those, then i got back to the danmaku games and started loving Touhou to the point i consider it superior to anything :P |

| I did discover it by hearing soundtrack (Night of Nights) in flash software which had soundtracks of many games. Then I intrested like hey where is this from? And I found out and started playing the games and so on. I like the games because they are hard, unlike many other games these days. : ) |

| I follow an LPer called raocow, and he and most of his fanbase are touhou fans, so it was inevitable for me to discover it through his videos as he LPed some touhou fangames. I didn't really care much at first, but I eventually read that the touhou series was very known for their difficulty.. And I like difficult games.. So I decided to try out the game, fell in love with the characters and music, just like everyone else.. So happy I did though, I love touhou now! |

| When I was more active on DA a few years ago I seen Namie-kun drawing a lot of touhou, and my friends drew a lot of it. I read up on the wikia on the characters and what not before I actually played. I got to downloading games from random forums I found online and I began to make more friends and before I knew it I was apart of the fandom.. My first game was 11 SA because I had mixed it up with meeting Nitori in 10(because of "The Song of a Broken Youkai Who Loved a Human" I fell in love with Nitori). And to this day I can still only play on Normal ahaha |

| I'm not sure if I remember. IIRC, I have found the name (Touhou) with raocow let's plays and I've asked one of my friends if he knew what is that. He talked me about the games and, some time later, I decided to give it a try. I really like the games, even though I'm pretty bad at them. The fan games are pretty fun too (New Super Marisa Land is one of my favorites so far). |

| Some people on a Skype call were talking about it and I hadn't the foggiest idea on what it exactly was. One of my friends then send me a link to download Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, in which I really enjoyed. There's still some games I have not played, but I really did enjoy which games I have played and the whole series. |

At first I just only wanted to beat EoSD because of Flandre but in the progress I already fallen to Touhou Project series. In these past months after I started to know Touhou, I felt that the time felt so long yet exciting at the same time. And it's naturally in effects of spending times with both ZUN's and fanon derivative works of Touhou Project. |

| I got into Touhou recently, I discovered it by watching Smooth McGroove's fuckin' fantastic acapella of "U.N. Owen Was Her?". In his videos he puts all the recordings of himself around a muted clip of the section of the game where whatever song he's singing is played. I saw a guy fighting Flandre, and I was intrigued. I had never heard of the Bullet Hell genre before, but nowadays I play more Touhou than anything else. |

| Saw a video on youtube of some multiplayer Hisoutensoku matches. Actually it was a rage patchy vid. At first I was bit skeptical that it would just be your average fighting game. Then came the bullets. And the graze mechanic. ANd the spellcards. And even MORE bullets. Never seen fighting gameplay like that before.
