Anybody watching this right now? The Microsoft conference has gotten off to a pretty good start, with gameplay footage from MGS Rising, Gears 3, Fable 3, and Halo Reach. I can't wait to see Sony and Nintendo to unleash the big guns when their conferences begin.

All that's going on now is the lame Kinetic show boating. Rising trailer looked decent. As long as the game is fun to play I don't care anymore, because with the exception of game play everything else in Metal Gear is fucking dead.

True, it's already out for purchase on the E3 showroom and will be in stores in 2-3 weeks.

Lol, that fitness game was exactly like the EyeToy game "Kinetic" <---- What? Almost the same name as well? Coincidence of course!

I hope Sony and Nintendo show some shit. Looks like Microsoft did the exact same thing as Nintendo two years ago... Made shit for old and fat people...

Micro$oft's E3 press conferences always suck. Nothing new to see there. I'm interested mostly in what Nintendo has to show. *Crosses fingers for new zelda*

It's been confirmed by Nintendo that they will show Zelda 100%. Not sure about gameplay, but they've usually shown gameplay or in-game shots every E3.

As for the comment about Microsoft. Well, dude, you must have missed last year. That was the best Conference by far..

I had no idea Zelda was confirmed for sure this year. Shows how much I've been paying attention to games. Also, Nintendo's 2008 E3 press con does better then anything MS can pull out of their ass.

Microsoft conference: I am not impress.

Basically it's Natal, or Kinect if you insist with lots of minigames strangely familiar to the graphics seen on the Wii (and that while I bought a PS3, or equivalent: 360, to avoid such graphics)
More lol-faceroll Halo, which looked severely unimpressive to me, it looked like "just another shooter"; Gears 3: more of the same. Not that that's bad, but it's just more of the same; Metal gear rising, which did look cool IMO and the (free) 360 which ships this week, to which I take my hat off.

The Kinect did look impressive at some points, but tha was two or three points, the rest was just overly bad acting.
The dancing gig looked "promising" in terms that it could work (no more mats), but it still means do the right things at the precise time to me, I'll have to test it myself.

So overall I'm not impressed with what MS showed today.
Sony and Nintendo can do better I reckon, let's hope they do.

Seriously? Nintendo at 08 was the most horrible shit I've ever witnessed. All they showed were WiiFits, old people playing bowling, statistics about how much the DS has sold, another version of the DS, more Fitness training, Wii Sports Resort, and more statistics. It was horrible. More horrible than what Microsoft showed today, because they at least showed a new cool game. Metal Gear Solid. Seriously, it was that horrible.

Though 09 was average for Nintendo, but I think the'll be the winners this year since Sony is always on last place for me as the best conference, though in 08 they were in second as Nintendo totally fucked themselves.

Lmao. I was being EXTREMELY sarcastic when I typed that. Nintendo '08 was terrible. That dumb bitch that was hosting sucked dick. MGS does look...fine. Like I said, it's game play that matters, cuz everything else in the series sucks now.

The only thing I enjoyed was the part with Metal Gear: Rising. Gears and CoD: Black Ops were ok. I don't really care much for Halo, Fable, or that Natal crap, so overall i'd say it was boring.

Pretty much what everyone has said I agree with.

Only interesing parts of the MS press were MGS: Rising, Fable III and Gear 3. The rest was the same old 'we're ripping off Sony's EyeToy!' Tho, mad props for that dancing game, it really looked good when they demo'd it.

Eh. Kinda bummed out that EA didn't reveal Insomniac's (and Respawn's) game.

Still, EA press conference was definitely better than Microsoft's. NFS: Hot Pursuit totally stole the show at the beginning. I'm all.. giggity. Can't find a better word for it.

I was REALLY hoping they''d also confirm they're working on the fabled SSX, but I guess it'll remain wishful thinking.

As for the EA conf: ....not too much IMO.

Need for speed looked quite alright (didn't we have a hot persuit back on the PSX...NFS III IIRC?), but itf it's just 1vs.1 it'll be boring pretty quickly.
Medal of honor looked pretty much like modern warfare, so that's nothing new for me, even if you increase the amount of players.

The whole EA active thing can die in a fire as far as I'm concerned, and I've never been a fan of football, so I don't care about madden either.

Bulletstorm looked somewhat fun, but only if there's Co-op (which I'll assume)

Dead space 2 looked nice, but I'm not completely convinced yet.

I'm no star wars fan, so The old republic did not tickle my fancy, even tho the cinematic looked quite nice.

And the Sims......*snicker*....well let's just leave well enough alone eh...

So overall nothing too smashing I guess, save for some things that might become really cool after i've tested it.

I think you mean back on the 3DO and that was way back. Ever since NFS went from the classic era to the new era (Underground onwards) people began to complain and from what we all know, the quality began to take a dip for the worse. The most recent NFS, Shift, departed even more but that ended up as a pleasant surprise (imo). But, yeah, people still want the classic back.

Now, we got it. And it's on the hands of Criterion, who made the Burnout series. And that's that. We just saw a fragement of what the game is. Pretty sure there's going to be more than just 1v1 in the new Hot Pursuit.

Hmm I could've sworn I played hot persuit on the PSX as well, but regardless: from that point on, the series indeed took a deep dive in shit.

From what I saw: the visuals were great and the it seemed very fast-paced, which is good.
But more than one cop is pretty much a must if I wanna play this game, since I've got way too much freedom with just one froggy copper behind me.

Black Ops looked nice. But the only important question is; Will it have a proper multiplayer or be a bugged sack of archaic shit like MW2?

New Vegas looks like more of the same old, but why not, F3 was quite decent after all.

Killzone 3 looks nice, and Crysis 2 should be nothing but awesome.

The Old Republic annoys me. Why did they have to make it a MMO? There's no way I can see it being able to produce the same fantastic experience that the original did. Plus the cartoony art style is a definite turnoff.

Dead Space 2 should be nice. Who cares about the story, just give me more creepy aliens and those splendid zero-g sections.

Normally I wouldn't even consider anything with NFS in the name, but idf it's made by Criterion, I may have to change that habit...

I still don't see how the old republic can be a MMO with those trailers. Those trailers might as well be for a movie instead of a MMO. I think I saw some in-game designs before which is totally different, and unlikely those trailers will even be cinematics in the game, my guess.

Mircosoft show - wow that was pathetic...kinect is a overpriced eye toy.
EA - At least they brought a variety to the show but nothing I really care for.
UBisoft - what the fuck was that? srsly laser tag? Good things were future soldier and Rez 2...that optic stealth shit was badass as fuck. also the micheal jackson finish was just no.
On a other note MGS: Rising does look half bad, interesting concepts of cutting objects down to take out your opponents and such.
But the winner so far of the show: Rez 2 (called children of eden.) & ghost recon: future soldier

Right now, remember where you are and what you're doing.

You'll need to remember for when people ask you where you were when gaming died.
