pretty self explanatory question

My choice would be The Tatami Galaxy. I was a different person before watching this show. It completely shifted my perspective, and I feel like I’m seeing the world through a different lens after watching it.

Gintama, it helped me to aprieciate small things in life, everyone has their own suffering, everyone lost someone important to them, it's ok to be yourself and more.

Naruto and yes this may sound cliche, but this anime really changed many things for me
Naruto as a show didn't really bring any changes, although it did have some impact on me as a teenager, however it did bring me closer to many people i thought i'd never talk to/meet
Naruto was a starting point of my conversations early on when i just started watching anime and didn't know a lot about the community,at that time i met so many amazing people and started engaging in some great and thoughtful cnversations not only about Naruto, but other hobbies and interests as well

Monster is another great example, although i've mentioned it somewhere else on these forums,Monster as an anime changed my views on certain things a bit

@joyandhappiness the series is not actually as long as it appears to because most episodes are 5 minutes shorter in duration than the usual 23 minutes full length episode by implementing 5 minutes recap at the begining of the episode which was used as an alternative formula to not create filler due to the risks associated with it.

But for newcomers I recommend manga since this is the fastest way to be caught up to the series or wait for wit piece in which will be no doubt great to perfect adaptation after seeing the interview.

You could try One Pace (same as One Piece but with faster pacing), or wait a few years until the remake starts airing.

@Zarutaku One pace is terrible, they have toxic mentality of "everything not in the manga is bad thus needs to be removed" to the point they are removing actual scenes of the anime to replace them with manga panels or fanarts. And also they haven't learned anything, how they butchered vincent chansgard cut in
, not realizing that every adaptation based on the written source material will always have some anime original scenes and changes because they are two different mediums of storytelling with different techniques to convey the story in the medium staff works in. Here is an example of what I am talking about https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hncZtX2Y_MM

The manga is still the best way to be caught up to the source material in the fastest way.

@joyandhappiness well they are not real 1000+ episodes because actual episodes post episode title are 5 minutes shorter in duration after implementing recap in the episode begining before episode title is shown as an alternative formula.

Also you can find manga for free by legal means through manga plus by Shueisha, publisher of weekly shonen jump and one piece.

@joyandhappiness Also the manga of one piece is very easy to follow thanks to the great paneling provided by the author. It took me to caught up to the manga around 8 months of reading included with some breaks.

@jacobPOL Pay no heed to my comments, good sir. i have absolutely no intention of watching one piece. i only asked him that question because i like it when people admit they are wasting time watching one piece as it satisfies my ego

@joyandhappiness Understanble, at least you are not forcing yourself to watch something you does not like in which many people in one piece community do but rather watches something you like and I respect that.

@jacobPOL Well, it's still worth a try if someone is put off by the official version's length.

@Zarutaku Well they can read the manga in which it is the fastest way to be caught up and also checking out some of their favorite scenes animated via youtube clips considering how big one piece is there will be no doubt a lot of scenes people can find easily, they can check their favorite chapter animated through some individual episodes and also once caught up with the source material they can switch to the anime's latest episode because once up to date with the source there is no need to watch anime adaptation from the start since after anime is adaptation of the manga.

I think for most newcomers, best is to wait for wit piece considering what staff said in the interview with them saying they can make it long running if people will like it, making possibility entire pre timeskip may be adapted. And seeing how long it is in development, with the wit piece production started in november 2023, most likely will be releasing in 2026.

Manga of one piece is very easy to follow thanks to great paneling provided by the author.

Mob Psycho 100 II episode 1. The rest of the season was also very important for me, but this episode in particular was enough to clean the mess I had in my head at that moment.

Angel Next Door, while it's not a masterpiece or anything groundbreaking it still made me smile a lot because of how sweet and heartwarming the romance is. I feel like I'm falling in love every time I rewatch this.

Love Live Superstar. Kanon is the reason I went back to therapy, realizing I couldn't keep trying to hide my problems from others forever. At first, she seems like a stereotypical shy, but nice shoujo protagonist, but she really surpassed any negative girly girl stereotypes and raised the bar for what is possible for such characters.
