| I love the declaration of flexibility and lack of pressure with the open-ended time window mentioned in the OP, Serafos. Now, as for me with this one, it depends on if the OPs and EDs of continuing and returning older series are allowed (or if I'm deciding to include them). Versus just exclusively the new series. You know, the usual. If included, then my OP and ED would be: Ruri no Houseki OP: Arknights season 3 ED: If only including the fully new, then I'd just swap in the Ruri no Houseki ED for the ED. And those three and the Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon season 2 ED, which I also like, are the only real ones which have caught my eye this season, or for the time being at least. The Arknights OP is also strong in its own right with a good assortment of visual imagery and all that but to me it, and the prior season two OP as well, are all overshadowed by the series' first OP, which is one of the best of any series of the 2020s decade for me, obviously out of those which I've seen and up to now. It's also a true phenomenon that in the cases of series which have multiple OPs and EDs over the course of their run, it's often the first which still stands supreme, and I don't subscribe to the notion that that rests solely on familiarity bias. |
