| A case that involves a haunted house! It's a classic type of mystery fitting for this show that imo, should've been done sooner. Despite their circumstances and flying rumors, I find the episode a bit silly with the light humor. That seems to be a recurring gag in this anime that's sometimes hard to take seriously. |

| heh, this one was cute... :> oh, for those curious about 'recycled paper' inside those sliding doors and the scholar who used to live in that house. very VERY old papers in Japan aren't easy to find in the 1900's and especially today in the 2000's. these samples of 'antique Japanese' handwriting are HIGHLY over-priced and appreciated by literature, language, calligraphy, history buffs/scholars. for example, if somebody was studying a known historical document... like a book of poetry or a personal diary/journal that was written in a specific period and region of Japan... modern Japanese language users can't exactly read older manuscripts without REFERENCE MATERIALS for kanji, words, phrasing, and handwriting differences. |

| Kanna has no excuse this time. She very deliberately poked her nose into this mystery when sensei told her to stay out of it. |
| Out of all the mysteries so far, this was the one that made the most sense and was easiest to solve. I did think they were wanting the house for the low rent (not treasure) since this was mentioned, but still, close enough. |

| Ghost stories existed for as long as humans exist, but Chuzenji-sensei's theory on the application of it...sure doesn't reach Kanna, and just passes her off just the paranormal detective he is. Though there is one case from Yukie about a Tono Sawako having problems seeing apparitions time and time again whenher husband is not around, Kanna takes into her own hands to help Sawako out...until Chuzenji comes around professing her as his assistant to do the necessary steps to ascertain the situation at hand. The house that Sawako lives in, it's quite te cheap house that unfortunately its late patrons will not depart its souls from, and Chuzenji takes measures to help Sawako move out of the house, which is set to be demolished since the ghosts would be quite the problem. Hah, having both Enokizu and Officer Koba be the ghost to scare the real ones (which would be the Yamabe couple) was funny, but the real reason was that the house was deemed valuable and a treasure trove enough to chase Sawako and her husband out so that they can own it fast. And sure, there was treasure, however, it was interpreted wrongly, and as such, there was no treasure to begin with. Quite the fun and silly episode, and the first episode in a long while that I can glue in from start to finish. |
