I'm just assuring that we as a species won't disappear, which is to me a comforting thought. Global warming is a very serious problem, but I have high hopes that we will learn to respect the Earth and its life-regulating mechanisms, and evolve accordingly ^^ |

| AFAIK, Hawking radiation, the process that is supposed to make black holes "evaporate" is still theoretical, although it's based on good grounds. If a black hole were to form, it's mass would be tremendously small (Just apply E=mc² to find the maximum mass a particle generated in a collision could have), and so it would evaporate nearly instantly. There is no need to worry, though. Particles have been detected passing near the Earth with ridiculous amounts of energy, and we're still here. That's evidence enough. |
