I thought this kaomoji was already MAL's mascot.   It was annoying pulling all three of these dudes out of the official MAL app, though, and adding white outlines so that darkmode users can see him. |

| Just about anything would do as a new mascot. Even as unappealing and unattractive one could just find a random stock photo of some scary looking obese Western gooner sitting in gaming chair with half naked Anime characters flooding their walls in the background with "MAL" tattooed on their forehead. lol But I would choose something less offensive like a wacky looking generic "chibi" caricature of the perceived typical Western fan wearing a T-shirt that has "MAL" plastered on the front of it looking like they are bouncing around or even animated by walking across the screen like they are in an Anime generic land ED. lol |

For "MAL-chan" variant, I'd choose a tomboy chibi girl, with relatively short blue hair, wearing shorts and a hoodie. For animal mascot, I dunno, it's a capybara wearing a baseball hat with MAL symbolics. |
