| Darn I thought that appraiser guy spray painted or something. Then again, the way he only put his hand halfway in is kind of suspicious. The crown has to still be there. Wish that someone would just go up there and check. Thought that Amuro was going to make an appearance and capture Kid again but maybe he's being reserved for the next episode. Kinda wish they didn't show us who he disguised himself as in the beginning of the episode. Defeats the purpose of trying to figure out who he's disguised as this time. I'm looking forward to seeing how he pulled this heist off. Seeing Sonoko and Ran crawling in the Fujin Road while Conan is just walking through it was funny. On another note, was not expecting Wakita to be there. And he said something about if only he had his other eye, he wouldn't be useless. Does he need depth perception to figure something or what. Just from the OP, we've got some exciting times ahead of us this year. Or at least, I hope. |

Amuro Toru has a new Seiyu starting with this episode. Takeshi Kusao replaces Toru Furuya after his scandal.
The difference is there, but the Seiyu did a good job to make Amuro's new voice as similar as his previous one.

| @groudonvert Shame that this kind of thing happens but it is great they found a replacement. Rei might have some more involvement with the plot so I'm looking forward to how Takeshi Kusao handles the role. Haven't seen a significant change in VAs on Detective Conan since Kogoro's old VA retired. I think we will get used to it eventually. |

| It seems obvious that the male appraiser was Kid in disguise since it was framed with his body completely covering the appraisal process. In addition to that, he stopped the police officer who was checking the place where the crown was by throwing suspicion on the exhibit director. I assume the crown is still there and Kaito painted it or something when appraising it. Maybe a special kind of paint that turns black and camouflages with the black background under very specific circumstances. Or maybe it was another similar trick. Regardless, it's very sloppy detective work to not even check the place where the crown was directly. |

Well speaking of significant change in VA, we have 3 characters in this episode who changed voice : Nakamori, Jirokichi (3rd Seiyu !) and Amuro Toru. Nakamori and Jirokichi voices are completely different from before (the second Seiyu had a similar voice from the first one).
The FBI group - except Akai - saw their seiyu died, Jodie has yet to be replaced though (and we don't know if she will appear again since the manga has yet to make her appear again since movie 26 and the last confrontation).
And let's not forget that all main characters have old Seiyu :/ They could die or retire before the series end, sadly.

| @groudonvert Ah I see. Hard to keep track of them. I guess since they aren't around that much they can just switch the VAs around. And yeah I agree. A lot of old heads are in this since the 90s. Just hope that it will end before that happens. |

| @anime-prime That seems about right. Heard from somewhere this isn't the greatest heist case. I'm thinking the same. Kind of irritating that not even Nakamori himself would go up and check if it's there. Heck even after Conan made a good point they just went along with Kid's trick. |

| I never knew Poirot cafe did food deliveries. Maybe it's to compete with other places that use Uber Eats and whatnot. I'm guessing the two appraisers are Kid and Jii. That can of compressed air was probably something that wasn't air sprayed onto it. It's almost crazy to think after his scandal, Toru Furuya resigned from voicing Amuro, a character role that was literally named after him. He brought it upon himself though which he has to live with for the rest of his life. I honestly didn't even notice he was replaced with a new VA the first time around, until I went back to listen to it again, and only then did I notice the very evident difference. I'm sure we'll all get used to it soon enough just the previous times someone was replaced. There's only a handful of characters I can never imagine being voiced by someone else, and that's the main characters like Conan, Ran, Ai...etc, and more reoccurring characters like Kuroba Kaito/Kudo Shinichi, Hatori, and Kazuha. In those cases...I honestly hope they can come to an agreement to use AI to replicate their voices in the event that someone passes away for whatever reason; something that's happened a few times now and they had to find a replacement before their next appearance. This is a just a real possibility of life as people age, for long-running series like this. It's too bad hearing about Jodie's VA passing away as well...she was the same age as my dad which really hits home for me. Speaking of mortality, I also hope they already have an ending made for the manga, in case the author passes away before the series finishes. |

| @groudonvert I don’t think the VA for her was replaced but Azusa’s voice has definitely changed quite a bit recently. Likely her voice changing due to VAs age and such. It’s really sad but a reality that if a show goes on for long enough the cast will begin needing to be replaced. Luckily most of the main cast VAs are still in their 50s and 60s which is generally young enough that old age won’t kill them for a while longer. Although that means nothing for health problems and everything else. Agasa’s and Akai’s VAs on the other hand may not last much longer. I think Akai’s is nearing 80 and Agasa’s is in his mid 80s. And sadly Chihaya’s VA died not that long after getting her role. Honestly so long as their VA is still alive to voice them I’m perfectly fine with their voice changing due to age. But I’d rather when they have to replace VAs to try and get younger ones to do the job if this show won’t end in the next 5-10 years. Most of them are voicing characters from ages 20-40 with a few outliers but the point still stands. |

We know it's Azusa later, but she's not there inside the room with the crown right now. He is disguised as someone else for now, and that's what is needed to be figured out.

| Tbh, I think that Kusao fits Amuro so much better and he did a great job emulating Furuya's vibe. I'm glad they found great replacements for Furuya's characters so far. |

| Not the most entertaining Kid's episode and it doesn't seem like most character will be doing that much. Sonoko's Uncle is running out of ideas on how to catch Kid. |
