心象のはひいろはがねから
あけびのつるはくもにからまり
のばらのやぶや腐植の湿地
いちめんのいちめんの諂曲模様
（正午の管楽がくよりもしげく
　琥珀のかけらがそそぐとき）
いかりのにがさまた青さ
四月の気層のひかりの底を
唾きし　はぎしりゆききする
おれはひとりの修羅なのだ

nobara no yabu ya fushoku no shicchi
ichi men no ichi men no tengoku moyou
（shougo no kuwan gaku yori mo shigeku
　 kohaku no kakera ga sosogu toki）
ikari no nigasa mata aosa
shigatsu no kisou no hikari no soko wo
tsuba kishi hagishiri yuki kisuru
ore wa hitori no shura nanoda

From the gray steel of my mental state
Akebia vines entangled in clouds
Thickets of wild roses and humus wetlands
All around, all around, pandering will
More frequent than the wind instruments of noon
amber fragments rain down at this hour
The bitterness and blueness of rage
At the bottom of the light of April's layers of air
I spit, grind my teeth, pacing to and fro
For I am the one and only Asura
