I can make a relationship from less than ideal conditions but I really don't want to settle for someone I don't love more than anyone else, but I'm giving up hope at this point. |

| In the past, I've known examples in my own circle where arranged marriages turned out to be workable. However, I believe that in the vast majority of cases, both persons end up suffering in some way because of the relationship. Personally, I don't think I could stay mentally stable in such a forced situation. At the same time, I wouldn't want any woman to face such circumstances, especially after knowing someone who was pressured into marriage by their parents (it ended in divorce). So for me, this is absolutely unacceptable. |

This is not actually true globally speaking, but the reason it is not true is obviously because arranged marriages tend to occur in cultures where divorce is frowned upon, no-fault divorces are likely not even a thing, or it is a thing but unidirectionally (men can divorce no justifications presented, women have to show some sort of transgression) OT: This is going to be a question where men and women answer very differently, which I note as interesting. Does that mean men are less picky, or less caring about love, or more likely to see relationships as transactional? Who's to say? Me? I would think that I would at least meet the person.
