| I'm somewhere in the middle. I used to be ridiculously shy. I never talked to anyone after I moved away from my friends, and I practically became a hikikomori. Then we moved again, and I finally got up the courage to get out into the world again and get a job, and I am having a pretty healthy social life now. I'm still pretty shy but a lot more outgoing than I used to be. I'm usually willing to try out something for the first time (jokes aside) and actively try new things. I have a hard time opening up to people still, though, I am really friendly but.. I have a hard time being myself around others. I am only able to be that way with one person irl, even though I have many friends. = A =)'' |

| Well its really hard for me to say, when I'm with friends I talk, unless if its a really big group of them, strangers I avoid like the plague unless If I know they are friendly... and I try to not talk to people I like a lot, to much awkwardness and stress would go through me... |

| I'm usually pretty...quiet. Not shy, I'm actually very...Cynical? Opinionated? Quick to put in my two sense even if it hurts anothers feelings? too staright forward? Too honest? All of the above? x.x Those would be the reasons I stay quiet. But by no means am i really shy. |

| It really depends on the group of people. For instance, and group of popular people who I don't know, I would be shy... but with close friends or people I think seem nice/fun to hang out with then I'm outgoing. |

| Something in between. When I first moved to my new high school, I was pretty shy. But new friends and newfound inspiration etc. coaxed something out of me, and I started acting more confident. This got better when I got my first job. It got even better when I volunteered at an optometry office and made phone calls to patients. I had a really debilitating complex about speaking on the phone. I would stutter my words and be afraid that I dialled the wrong number. Because of that I never made phone calls unless I had to. I wouldn't even call my friends' houses or anything. After the volunteering I was pretty much cured of that and I'm very glad. Though tbh, my self esteem had been taking dips after that, and when I entered university last September I found myself unable to approach new people. At all. Everything seems very alien, intimidating, and awkward, and and I just can't say a thing. It's very strange and it feels like a sudden thing, like I just suddenly became unable to talk to people. Of course, for some reason, I still do an excellent job at work (work in a bagel shop so food server + cashier) and I'm normal around my friends as well. |

| Growing up, I was almost painfully shy. As I've aged, I've become more just a loner(or so I tell myself)who only really spends time around my husband and my siblings. And parents, but I'm closer to my brother and sister. That's why I love the internet. The anonymity emboldens me, and I can speak more freely and honestly than in person. :3 |
| I'm pretty shy, probably because I was always a 'follower' and not a 'leader'. Its hard to start conversations and I usually avoid eye contact and move away from people. But I'm very talkative around close friends. I guess I'm the silent type on the outside, and a talkative one on the inside. |

| in real life I'm pretty shy and don't like walking up to random people and try talking with them...online I'm really outgoing, sorta strange but online has made me a bit less shy in real life so its all good i think. |

| lol really, I thought there would be a lot more outgoing ppl. About me, I'm not shy at all, here or anywhere. I'm one of those who could talk for hours and days without repeating a topic. But that's more IRL, I'm not really a fan of assyncronous talk (i.e. forums). |

I usually don't randomly talk at people I see for the first time in a situation where I have nothing to tell me at least something about them (depending on the situation you can know if you have at least some interests in common) |
