I love tog, but I have a problem, I really have no idea how people who haven't read the manhwa are watching it, I'm worried that the plot is not being understood well or that it's boring. People who are watching it without having read the manhwa, what do you say?

What do you mean by "what do you say"? I mean even if we think we understand the plot, without someone telling us the plot we won't know it for sure.

@monceeef Some things, others are just assumed, however, I don't remember well.

@ktg Good point, but as far as we're going, is it somewhat understandable? I think with my brain capacity, if I hadn't spent time reading tog, I wouldn't be getting it with anime, which is why I ask.

Things always become more clear as the story progresses, thats legit with every manga that has an anime adaptation.. if you ask this question that means you think people should always first see the source material before getting into the anime.

Well, so far I understand what's going on, but they didn't really try to tell us how the power structure works. I mean we learned about Jahad and FUG in just a couple sentences, while it sounds interesting, so it would be nice if they give a proper explanation in the anime.

The thing is, mahnwa readers also complained about the story and new characters in second season. It's hard to get in but this adaptation's existence tells it's still succesful. In addition it has music, animation, voice-over and since they cut some non relevant stuff, the pacing is faster. So it should be more passable for anime onlies.

The animation was a bit sloppy but for a fightless episode it's alright. What really matter is the fight packed episodes and there's 20+ more episde to go. And tbh even this episode was better then first season's animation as a whole. That unstable animation was such an eyesore.

I like it. Story doesn't really matter for me that much as long as there's Good Fights and Badass moments all is ok. Oh and I hope for a Great Revenge episode.

@Lisasn Not at all, many adapted works are made only for those who are fans of the original work to understand it, because there is a lack of a lot of information and context in general, that is why I ask, I know my point of view as a reader but I would also like to know the point of view of the viewers, man. If there is something that characterizes tog, it is that they throw out a lot of technicalities and don't explain them. Even sometimes in the manhwa they put little notes to explain it, however, since this does not exist in the anime, I just wanted to know if everyone understood what was happening so far.

I’m sure they’ll explain eventually, the anime probably has their own way of explaining it, if they’re smart they’ll throughout the season make things clear. I don’t read the manhwa ether but It’s not like I don’t understand what’s going on, i just trust that they’ll eventually clear things up the best they can

I haven't read it and I'm enjoying it. Concerning myself over the comprehension of other viewers seems like a waste of time, but that's just me.

I’m just going with the flow so far. I really like that there are a bunch of new characters as well.

I can understand what they want me to understand. The parts that I’m confused about feel like it will be explained as it happens. It’s a good show, I don’t think they need to spoon feed the viewers

I don't like it, but not bc the adaptation is bad on not understandable, but what I liked about s1 was Khun-Baam relationship and Rachel's feelings. Everything else (plot, world building, other characters) was stereotypical and uninteresting, which is even bigger problem in 2nd season, bc Khun and Rachel are gone, and the the new MC with emo-Baam don't have interesting chemistry or personality (yet) so yeah I'm sceptical, but I'll give it a chance

@Mayumai The new cast is actually really good. Trust me we all felt the same when season 2 in webtoon started. But you need to consider that Bam stayed behind to receive some kind of training. Meaning other people are on higher floors, he needs to catch up first. Once they get closer, the hype is crazy.
Also as mentioned, over the time the new cast grows on you, many webtoon readers call Yeon Yihwa their "queen" for a reason and love our new blondie for a reason. Even tho events later are pretty devastating.

It's incredibly dry so far. Why should I care about any of the characters shown besides Bam? The only other character with a real motivation is the princess but she has little to no screen time so far. If this was an anime original without Kevin Penkin's music it would be at best a 4/10.

Glad for manhwa readers, but for everyone else I'd recommend waiting for a few episodes before starting this.

I don't really know what's happening, I've simply assumed that a long time has passed (Bam's hair is way longer) and that the anime will eventually explain to me what's happening. I'm just really curious.

It's such a bit gap, that the show isn't worth your time unless you really like the show.
