| Bad??? This shit is on fire. I thought the song wouldn't go well with the opening but it suits it very well. Maybe it could have gone better as an ending but it's still amazing. Hidden spoilers they sneak between frames make me love it even more. Kinda ironic those who complain about change of "unique" art style will be the same ones who shit on this "unique" opening. |

| It's AMVish but actually is good. Much better than s1's op of random Bam shots and cutaways to the list of people involved with making the show every 2 seconds. It's unique, colorful, memorable, got some actual personality and showcases its large cast and chemistry much better than s1 did and is fun. Its a different vibe for sure but I like that an opening actually can have charisma and the balls to try something different and not just use random sakuga action and generic shots like every other action anime opening I've seen in recent years. The Urek shot in particular looks so damn sick. Its exactly like the s1 artstyle. It's unique, filled with personality and has ToG stand out but there were people that couldnt accept that different artstyle and shading and wanted something generic instead lol. I'm glad they have the opening not being interchangeable with many, many other anime ops. |
| I watched it hearing about how some people thought it was the worst opening of all time or right up there, and I don't want to be rude but they are bugging. This isn't opening of the year by any means but I think it's surprisingly decent. It's different, like someone mentioned here, shows off the massive cast well and I can admire an opening for being experimental and different in a way with how it is presented, especially with a popular series like this rather than going for something very safe and maximum, only changing the colors around a bit. The song isn't great, that's fair. I'll take it over the Stray Kids one, that was terrible but this one isn't something I love listening to whatsoever either. But I will say, the visuals actually make the opening better in my opinion. I've seen Code Geass have two stinker openings, one with a godawful song and repeated shots everywhere of its first opening, and one with no animation at all. I've seen Ancient Magus Bride also have repeated shots of its first opening and using many shots from the anime for an opening (second opening of season 1). I've seen one of the older Baki openings that is all in ugly CG doing terrible looking, robotic martial arts with a terrible song too. I've seen many, many openings with the most bland ideas possible for action series, romance series, slice of life series, comedy series, to the point of them being extremely forgettable and a waste of time to watch through. Those are truly openings I just hate talking about. This might not be perfect but it definitely works with this series for me, and gives the anime some kind of soul that is missing with its overall visuals in general compared to season 1, making a lot out of little in the process. It's okay to not just have every opening look like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Solo Leveling to name a few. |

Put the two together, it looks like a goofy fanmade project with initially not-too-bad approaches. I honestly feel like the presentation would be better as sort of a promotional short animation video for the manhwa, not as part of the anime adaptation itself. |
