They did not just announce a part 2 when they literally RUSHED the entire first season?! What’s the point in rushing it if you’re gonna make a s2? I wasted my time watching this show, hoping it would get better.. yeah i aint watching that second season 💀

A lot of the time they planned ahead on production, so they probably originally planned to have 2 cours in the first place. Also no one's forcing you to watch it so yeah

I feel like I got cheated out of 240 minutes of air time since lol time travel now none of that exists I mean how mad are they trying to make me? dude finally gets the woman to marry him but all of our aspirations and adorations are kicked to the curb by a blue ball? You have to be fucking kidding me. we got blue balled by the author, literally and figuratively.

what pisses me off the most is it so unceremoniously gets a s2 after an ending that was so bad it could start riots. you assholes knew this was coming but you still dropped this on an unsuspecting community with bullshit like magical time travel that somehow the witch didn't know about? All of the characters are now dead. They never existed. What a pissant way of writing you fucking hack.

When an anime adaptation of a finished source material is planned, it's always going to be a complete adaptation. Even if it results in a rushed mess because the production committee doesn't think it's worth having more than two cours. We're all used to incomplete anime adaptations only because in most cases the source material is still ongoing.

What do you mean? This anime totally deserved a second season. The story is not over yet, there are many things to be adapted, such as Tinasha’s new life as the queen of Farsas kingdom. I believe she would bear hard times without Oscar, they were in love and finally agreed to get married.

It’s about that fact that they skipped so much and rushed through this when they could have easily showed us everything all the way through the second season? Instead they packed everything up in 12 eps.

Seems like my thoughts as a novel reader are correct. Don't get me wrong. The novel is as nice as it is and I love it. I am happy to see it got animation. But seeing how it worked out, I am not happy and confused about how it ended up being!

I expect it should include novel volume 1 and half of the volume 2. Then I saw the visuals of the anime which included 3 volumes from the novels? I started to think as it makes no sense! Is it an animation that progresses half a year? But no! It only has 12 episodes in total. As a result, I suspect it would not end well which is already happening since a lot of arcs got deleted between ep1 and ep2.

I don't even know what is ENGI thinking. I am not going to say anything if it is only a one season production. But then it announced season two which is happening half a year later at 2025 winter after season one just ended. Why? Why rush it? Why they just put that many stories into a 12 episodes animation? Why don't they split it into two seasons as if volume 1 and first half of volume 2 as seasons one and second half of volume 2 and volume 3 as season two? Seeing how bad it goes on season 1 in this anime and it got season 2? What's going on? Why don't they put more effort into producing animation about novels volume 1-3? Why?

Well, I am wasting my time at 2 am just to type that much as anger took over me. I am starting to hate ENGI as if Project No.9 which is a company does not respect the readers and decided to produce 3 animes in a season and making some crap out of them is a good idea. ENGI has records of rushing anime production before. “You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story” is an example. I did not read the novels but I can still feel that there are arcs that got deleted. In the end, I am not trusting that company. Not before they change its attitude.

I have not read that far (vol 3), but from what I know about the latter part he will still be birthed and will still yearn for her in the new timeline somehow. I don’t know the details but this should brief you on what you need to know

You need to remember that the purpose of an anime isn't necessarily to adapt the entire thing in order to please the people that already bought the source material. Anime is about marketing, they want to draw people in so they'll go out and buy the light novel. If anything leaving some things out actually incentivizes people to go out and buy the light novel so they can get more out of the story.

As someone that never read the novel this is the situation I'm currently in where I don't have the foreknowledge to be pissed off about how bad an adaptation some people believe this has been and am excited both to look into the novels and wait for the next season.

@MBurner That is a fine balance to play by. For me the anime adaption is bad enough to make me curious what was skipped but good enough to be interested in first place. But if it was even just a little worse, I might have dropped the anime and never bothered looking into the source material. And if you look at the comments around, most people seem to just gave up on the series which is a shame.

Besides that, a good anime adaption will attract many readers simply because waiting for season 2 or season 3 is a very long wait. So unless it is a short series that they can comfortably adapt in one season or a split cour, it seems to be a folly to purposely adapt material poorly to trigger viewer curiosity.

Yeah, So what is the point?
They're gonna restart everything from the beginning right?
Oscar and tinasha we watched for 11 episodes are gone, and now this is the story of tinasha from another timeline right?
I feel like watching a fake main character if I watch season 2.

@Abyhape I spoiled myself a bit, if you wanna know:

I know that the show is rushed, despite that I think that it's above average, luckly we'll get S2 so I kinda don't care bout haters.

Also, OP and ED are bangers, lol

@MBurner I think it's funny how many people hate on adaptations... the only thing that they are doing is burning the source. I think this case is like Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru, the source gets praised and the adaptation gets bashed for some differences even tho the show makes sense if you haven't read the source.

I have to say, that this case is a bit worse because in a couple of episodes you can tell that they skipped something without knowing the source.

Salty fans are the worst enemy of any fan-able thing, lol.

@DaCraziGuy ah, I see. if you look at it, that's kinda interesting though, so this anime adapt the concept of only 1 single universe instead of multiverse.

it's fine and if anything else it feels like a haruhi future plot so i'm interested as someone who doesn't really like time travel stuff in anime.
