| Izumi's first big appearance in tv and in a magazine. And it seems to have effected her in a bad way well at least the internet remarks did hopefully she will overcome that before the race and perform well but i guess we will have to see next week. Her friends seem to be really focused on beating her so it might be a exciting race. |
The 6 months of training and race qualifications to finally reach the Rookie Final, Izumi and the girls are ready for their final sprint. And as always, a pre-race interview between Izumi and Hiratsuka showcases their friendship, but also their rivalry. With Aoi Shizuoka being the only L13 Term cyclist in the group of a vastly strong L14 Term group, she must represent their group, as well as Izumi and the others for their own efforts to win. Izumi being on TV, they sure edited her in a rather aggressive way, forcing her to mask up while also earning more fans and detractors along the way, to the point of people flocking to the family inn, forcing her to live in Sano's place for the last spurt of tough training for the Rookie Final. Who will win in the race against protagonists? |

| The situation with Izumi dealing with her fame and online criticism really gave me Oshi no Ko vibes from that one arc in particular if you know what I’m talking about, it started out as something positive but after that interview and reading stuff online, it has started to negatively effect her, as she said at the end where this is the first time where she didn’t want to race. There were definitely some silly moments but overall it was a pretty realistic situation and I’m hoping Izumi is proven wrong or somehow gets over it when it’s time to race. Also I liked those snaps of Izumi and Nana during the interview bit, some cute stuff there. And Izumi’s influence on her friends was made apparent when we got that workout montage, they’re all coming after her and Nana so this rookie final should be exciting. And we got one more episode left, I gotta say this show has grown on me since the beginning, it’s not really amazing but it has definitely been an enjoyable show. |
| Looking at the scene of Hiratsuka eating noodles with chopsticks, she is a lefty. So, she may feel awkward with left curve. (It might be just a drawing mistake.) |
