Not being obnoxious about it, i just mean being possessive as in feeling that ur a bigger fan of the series than other fans or something like that.

Do you mean by 'being possessive' of an anime? e.g. common symptoms

Not really, cause in most cases, the people with this behaviour are doing it for reasons other than their actual love of the anime.

Often times its because:

1. This gives their life meaning and without it, they have nothing.

2. They are a narcissist and view that they are above all others, regardless of whether or not they actually know everything about the anime that they claim to be the "biggest fan" of.

3. They are seeking attention by any means.

So while it is possible that someone truly has this undying love for an anime, it is highly unlikely, cause that would result in extreme levels of delusion and disassociation from the real world.

mushoku fan trying to make sense of his annoying behavior the thread, better call up the other one who bought the manga to support the series and now he's proclaiming that he saved the adaptation because of that.

Attachment sounds understated, more like obsession.

Idk, sometimes you are a bigger fan than most other people, i don't see how thats being possesive.

Like death parade changed my entire outlook on life, but I know that doesn't apply to most people. Thats not me being possesive, its just the reality of it.

I guess I do feel a bit of pride in seeing what makes the show so special, while most others don't. But isn't that how everyone feela about what they consider to be underrated?

Yes but you can still be attached even without being possessive.

I actually feel bad, because I don't really "fan" about anime like others. I very much consume anime, but few leave a strong impression.

it is, but i'd call that an obsession with the anime rather than an attachement to it. cuz you can get attached without being possessive.
