 Production company Kadokawa and game developer Garena announced on Monday that the Garena Free Fire smartphone game is getting an anime project. Kadokawa and Garena are jointly funding the anime, with Kadokawa's Chinese subsidiary, Aohane Kadokawa, managing the animation production. Garena Free Fire, also known as Free Fire, is a battle royale game developed by Garena, which was released worldwide on Android and iOS in December 2017. The game has over 1 billion cumulative downloads on the Google Play Store, with over 100 million daily active users in February 2024. In September 2021, Garena released an enhanced version of the game titled Free Fire Max. The game has collaborated with anime series such as One Punch Man and Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) in 2021, and Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) in 2023. | Free Fire was the worse version of PUBG Mobile. Some of my friends wasted 30-40k Rupees until our govt just banned the game because it was Chinese, and sometime after also banned PUBG LOL. All of their effort got wasted. The more money any player would have spent on this game, the stronger their characters and guns would get. Totally pay to win game. IDK what story will they make an anime of. Kadokawa is the producer, then if Studio ENGI does this then RIP in advance. |
