| If the song was for the ED, then fair enough. If it is a standard OP, it is a shame to move on from the unique character openings sung by its respective voice actresses that this franchise had for many, many entries of the Monogatari franchise over the years, and it will take me time to get used to that change. YOASOBI did do a good job with the Beastars season 2 opening and its vibe, so they are not the worst option for this, but it would feel a lot more generic in comparison. The vague wording of 'theme song' only really does not help clarify what it actually is. Hopefully, the actual material still is great and is super well adapted, regardless of whether this song is meant for an OP or the ED, like how this anime franchise has always done. |

| Can’t believe people are hating this. Most likely they will do a Shinobu Opening as Sakamoto Maaya doesn’t do openings for this show. As long as the song is a banger, I don’t see the hate. It’s YAOSOBI so it’s gonna be a banger |

| @cringeylazy i don't see any of the endings (which it will most probably be) 'fitting' with the series. Not even any of the openings i recall 'fits' with the anime's vibe. So it doesn't matter |

@animejas previous seasons have been doing character VAs for OP and artists for ED. So I think they will keep it like that.

| i really hope it is an ED. This would be the least worst outcome since this song fucking sucks. I really liked OnK op but i'm starting to get really tired of Yoasobi. Frieren 1st op was already so bad. |

The anime industry has become a lot like like Hollywood where the pick the same artists again again and again. The anime industry nowadays luck boldness and just want to choose same VAs, music artists and anime studios that are the most convenient due to popularity etc. Am I the only one who thinks like this ? |

| @cringeylazy Always judging ahead of time, YOASOBI does an excellent job and if it would fit perfectly with what monogatari is about and even more so when this arc is about the girls, perhaps the only one who didn't fit well was Frieren. |

| @Yubisoft They have only done Beastars, Oshi no Ko and Frieren... they probably wouldn't even make it to the top 100 most overused bands for Anime songs. Why is it not a character? This is removing a core part of monogatari’s identity. This is gonna be dogshit @HeavenDrill They are only doing the ED song, the OPs will be the same as usual. |
