| This Season is just insane. Who would have thought that Gushing over Magical Girls would completely be the go to ecchi series this season overshadowing Mato no Seihei Slave. If someone said to me before the season started that Gushing over Magical Girls would be the superior ecchi series, I'd have laughed and them and said that they'd had to read the Mato no Seihei Slave Manga to see what the anime would be like. Instead the current animation studio for Mato no Seihei Slave made a completely soulless adaption which is lacking everything from great action to great ecchi. It's just meh at best. |

Gushing's one joke is already unfunny too, so all it has left is fanservice. It's hollow asf. Next bait please. |

Unfortunately, the Mato Seihei agenda ain’t gonna help ya
And Major Shoujo no Akogarete actually has a pretty weak start, so it’s far from it’s peak
Peak will probably be episode 5
| @Isekai-Enjoyer I hope you're right. Episode 1 was fairly fun so I was concerned by how bored I was during episode 2. Maybe introducing some more characters will help. For what it's worth, Mato should also improve over time. The start of the manga is definitely the weakest part |

| Demon slave is already flopping hard in japan while mahosho is doing good Also for those saying "that was just the beginning, it will get more steamy later" they skipped half of chapter 2 on last episode and that included a tame kyoko reward scene. If they don't include this scene by next episode, don't even expect the more spicier scenes to be adapted |

| @Bandanaa Mato no seihei is already getting bad numbers in japan. Fans there are not happy about the nei censorship and the rankings accordingly on the niconico page are much lower than gushing over magical girls one. Not to mention gushing over magical girls has amazing blu ray preorder numbers, mato seihei is flopping on that front too its numbers are abysmal so far. Whatever you like it or not the reception in japan will decide how the series future will look, if it flops extremely hard it might even get the manga cancelled (Happened to keijo!!!! the ass anime in the past anime flopped and manga got cancelled over that) |

Jump and Jump+ have a ton of series that don't sell anything close to Mato. You are talking about the niconico rankings, but Magical Girls is 3rd and Mato is 7th. Both are really good weekly rankings on that site and should be celebrated. 7th on Niconico is not a flop. Also, Mato is 3rd on Abema right now. It's clearly doing very well on streaming services. You're right that the BD sales forecast is not looking good, but then again, they don't seem to be even half as interested in BD sales as Magical Girls. MahoAko has a special figure version which is outselling even the regular BD version, and includes fully uncensored audio, whereas Mato isn't offering anything new in the BD because the audio is already uncensored on streaming. There is way less incentive to buy the Mato BDs, and that's okay. BD sales are a shadow of their former selves and no longer the primary way to make a profit from anime. I think the execs at Pony Canyon recognize that and aren't pushing the BD angle as hard as Kadokawa is pushing it for MahoAko, and that's fine. |

Did you expect to like the other show of the two, but ended up liking the other one? Good for you, but why make such a big deal out of it? |

Edens zero had better animation, didn't censor any lewd scenes and is as horny yet the anime adaptation didn't boost the sales lol
